    KTM wheel bearing/seal cross ref.

Does anyone have a cross reference numbers for the rear wheel bearings and seals? I went to 3 auto part stores and they could not help me. I have heard they are availible.

    Thanks!

Yes they are very common metric sizes freely available at bearing shops. Only thing is I dont have the sizes but I'm sure someone will respond with the answer you are looking for, at a greatly reduced price...

or alternatively yuo can contact CBR Bearing Comapany 1-800-769-5388 or http://gate.tfb.com/~cbr/ and they apparently offer a lifetime warrenty on their bearings.

I ran KX bearings in my 99 300. They were sealed on both sides and cheaper. Try a Kaw shop.

I found a seal that works great at my local bearing house, its made by chicago rawhide, the part#12733 and for the size(I am looking at the box it came in) 32x47x7 hms4r. I don't know what that means but that's what's on the box. I paid around $2.50 for one. Also, the bearing for the rear wheel is a SKF part#6005 2RSJEM. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I will check it out. I went to the Kawi dealer by my house and they could not match anything up there btw.

Say, do you happen to have any info on the fronts for future reference?

Front seals, 26x37x7 small, large 40x52x7

    Rear seals 32x47x7 both same

Front bearings 6904 LLU (LLU is they are sealed not open)

    Rear bearings 6005 LLU

Also take the seals off the bearings and repack them with quality bearing grease and then refit the seals.

You may also want to check out the rear spacers that WER makes. They have a metal ring for the seals to ride on so they wont groove. Definitely help the brgs to last longer.
