This might make getting a green sticker even tougher:

Pretty sweet looking ride! Lack of noise does take some of the fun out of it, but it sure is a step in the right direction. It'd be like Mountain bike racing with a motor.

You could yell at the guy you're trying to pass to get out of the way.
You could hold races anywhere and not have to worry about people complaining about noise pollution.
The military is probably eyeballing them as we speak. Could add a whole new element of surprise for the SF guys!

I can't wait!!! I'm sick of opec!!

What, less than 5HP You have got to be kidding. That is not even funny, don't give me that bit about electric motors having more torque either. That only applies if you have no gears!

I use an electric aircraft tug, it runs out of pulling power all the time, right along with my electric golf cart that supposedly has the equivalent of 9HP (yeah right). HP is HP any way you slice it.

5hp! Doesn't that really make it a scooter or moped?

The forks look kinda wimpy.
4 hours isn't very long of a range for serious trail use.
Would the acceleration be sufficient for the bursts of power you'd need in some situations?
Would it pull steep, rocky, loose hills?
How about sand?
This one really isn't designed for pure offroad use, I realize, but I'm still not totally convinced. But it's a step in the right direction. Maybe they'll come out with a more serious one someday.

Short ride time is a bummer for woods riders, but I talked to these guys and they have a prototype trials bike that would be great for the backyard.

So, would WA still complain if you rode one of these within 600' of your neighbor's house? Is that bill about noise or bikes? (sorry, that's a bit OT).

hhhmmm let me think h*** no! personally i think if the government bans 2 stroke's the dirtbike nation will revolt, why are few getting punished when i see EVERYDAY trailer trucks gushing out thick black smog out of the exausht pipes? And if the new wave of cell bikes are a hit then dirtbikers, trail riders, etc will become almost not unique because then almost EVERYBODY could do it with an electric motor. I know i sound like a raving republican(cuz i am) but think about it.

isnt that a lot of money for that thing i translated the price from pounds into usd dollars and it will cost us about 5500 dollars

Acceleration - 0 – 20 mph in 4.3s (32kph), 0 – 30 mph in 7.3s (48 kph), 0 – 50 mph in 12.1s (80kph)
Top speed - 50 mph (80kph)

What a dog. You'd have a lot more fun in a golf cart. Might as well be Flintstone powered.
