I had the holeshot till I looped it out 30 feet out of the gate.

Gomer used me for traction to gain a slight lead over Poncharelko. I picked up my steed, remounted, (since its a 2 smoke, it started right away) and rounded the first corner in third. Some people never podium in their lives, this is a proud moment for me.

I am living up to standards though... I'm considering -Top 30- quite a start amongst the DRN gang. Really I'm just happy I got the drop on Reddirt181, that's the only time I'll be ahead of him for this entire event!

I had to make a deal last year with Tiggers mom that after 3 years of her missing a week of school that I wouldn't take her out for an entire week this year. The deal is that Tigger has to maintain A honor roll and her mom will bring her up to DW toward the end of the week, I don't think she realizes how far of a driver for her it will be.

The hold up is not knowing which days to register her for. As soon as I find out, I'll get both of us signed up.

Was it the same leg? How bad was it? Like Dave said, I hope it wa a minor fracture this time. Keep us posted.

I don't want to hijack a DW thread but for info's sake; it was the same leg, bent the plate a small amount (2-5 degree's) which in turn opened the fracture up in the center. No surgery is planned and they are going to just let it heal as is. No weight bearing for a month and then the surgeon will reassess.

As I reported in the cost thread, I'm in, too. I have just had trouble determining what day the wife was going to let me get there (Wed or Thursday). Plus I'm trying to bring at least 1 of my 2 kids this year, which again is a discussion with the CEO of the household. I've also been pushing Dr. Steve to decide when he can get there to sync up on transportation and such.

I didn't see RichR or EricG's name on the list. Are they going to make it?

I wont make it guys. I will be in Florida trying to win an Enduro. One of my good buddies and I are within 1 point of each other. If I miss a race he wins, I cant let him have it that easy. The weekend before I should be wrapping up my Hare Scramble series.

I will be there in 06, unless I am in New Zealand running the ISDE.

We won't get there until Thursday, however the older boys are ready for a little tag team Hare Scramble on Friday. Of course they have never ridden one, so if anyone sees some funny looking Cajun kids fishing in the bayou during the Hare Scramble, remind them that someone in the pasture is waiting to be tagged.
