1977 Suzuki RM370 Restored Beauty! In Michigan. Delivery or Shipping Available

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: KTM Mike

Last spring I told my wife I would finish the RM370 project, and sell it off to (in part) pay for my new KTM...and that I would get that done by the end of May. So....it seems I am only 7 months behind schedule... and it looks like she is not forgetting I promised her I would sell it. (I REALLY dont want to see this one go...but a deal is a deal - and I guess the KTM wins)

As you can see from the pics, rather nice looking. It is not a totally over the top restoration job, but a bit more basic. Still rather nice. Fresh top end, various engine seals replaced, many New Old Stock factory Suzuki parts, new chain and sprockets...the list goes on and on. Very complete with many of the little detail items commonly missing such as proper cable guides on the front, tank straps... etc. Email me for more details.

Asking $2250.

Email me at sstephenson{AT}i2k.net (replace {AT} with @ sign)

wish I could buy it,it was my 1st real mottocross bike. When I went into 9th grade my ts 185 engine case finally cracked in rear where it mounted to frame so my dad let me pick out my next bike so I told the guy at the dealer give me the biggest Suzuki makes.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

Looks like the bike will be moving to Arizona real soon - I hate to see it go!

Hello there:

I hate to see it go too... I hate it so much I will pay $3000 cash to the current owner plus shipping to Houston, Texas.

I am also looking for a Suzuki TM 400, Maico 501 radial head, and a CZ 400. If you know of anyone, let me know... thanks...

Just an old man trying to reclaim his youth...

James - boy where were you when I was selling this back in 2006! I doubt I can easily find contact info for who I sold it to now...but I can do some digging.

I do have a variety of old RM parts left over though - various odds and ends 76 to 79 RM125 to 400. Let me know if you need any stuff and I can see if I happen to have it.

And for what its worth - I think 90% of the people here on DRN are old men trying to reclaim their youth! (I know I am!).

I know I dont have any head gaskets for a 250 - best i might have is used from a 370. I have had good luck re-using old RM head gaskets though if the old one is not to beat up. Heat it up nice and hot with a torch to re-anneal (they are made out of copper) it and give it a shot.

I assume you mean from a PE? I actually think I have at least a cylinder - not sure what year it is from - but as I recall, bore was good. I will have to do some digging and can check - but before I do - please confirm if you mean from a PE - otherwise what I have wont work for you.

I am sorry it took so long to post, for the life of me, i could not find this thread.

Yes, I am looking for a PE 175 cyclinder. The cylinder from an RS 175 will work as well.

cycowrencher - I sent you a PM about the PE cylinder.
