Nooooooo........! Not white.........!

Posted by: Rich Rohrich

Agreed, ANYTHING but white .

Posted by: Papakeith

White is gay

Posted by: gwcrim

Red, white, and blue.

Posted by: truespode

A friend of mine has a CRF250 setup with white plastic and that thing looks unbelievably good.

Its a Honda, keep it Red.

Posted by: Jaybird

I voted Red, but I think White is awesome!

Posted by: Thump

I kinda like te black look myself.

Up to you guys though.

Posted by: truespode

Wow. After seeing that I'm changing my vote to black.

Ivan

Posted by: Patman

I voted red even though I have a black Honda myself and think the white looks bitchin!

Posted by: nikki

I can't decide... so haven't voted yet. I like the red best of the three, but if you use black or white, it's something "different" which I think is cool too, especially for this situation. Any chance Thump can give us a visual on all three?

Posted by: gwcrim

Powdercoat the frame black too and that would look great.

Posted by: KiwiBird

NIce Thump, but too much yellow for me - maybe red accents?

That looks great.

Black is the proper color for a motorcycle.

I'm thinkin' that might be too much black.

A gold anodized frame might look cool with the black plastic and yellow graphics.

Posted by: Jaybird

I have to admit that after seeing the pic Dave posted, black does look mighty spiffy.

But the pics I saw of one of those limited ediotion AF's in white was fantastic. It bled both elegance and brute force. Very impressive, the white.

Can I change my red vote? Seems so comman to stick with stock.

Posted by: Okiewan

There will be more variations of that image in the next couple of days... stay tuned.

Posted by: Okiewan

We very well may have to do a re-vote since one of the graphics ideas are out of the bag, lol.

It would sure draw attention to the engine and other mechanicals. Lots of work, though.

I wonder what a white bike with the same graphics in red would look like?

Posted by: AJ Waggoner

i feel a bit uncomfortable giving any input.

but there are things to keep in mind
during a mag photo/ test

First and foremost -
Timeline!!!!
powder coating *might* be an option,*might*

anodizing the frame will not be (most vendors take longer for that process, we dont have time to risk it)

color-
ok i dig black.
anyone who saw my AF that was all black,
inclusive of the engine, farme /swingawrm /tripoler clamps and every single other part, except white number plates to set it off will know that! lol
in person it was stunning., the small details like gasket edges and stuff just set it off visually.
in studio photos it was *cool* and *ok*..
in a reg action style photo it was bland.

Black (plastic AND rims) look awesome in person.
Also a nice studio shot,

its real beauty does not show up in action style photos ,
the bike just fades into the background in a reg *test*
shot

Still it does look cool and DIFFERENT .

I'm not agaisnt it, or any other color..
just trying to make everyone aware of the negatives and positives of them all.

Red , is plain, and stock, but *pops* on camera..

white, like black, is better looking in person than in photos.
(for example to me the *limited* looked very bland in studio photos, but rocked in person)

me? i dig something different.
(but know that it will not photo as well)

carry on with the voting !

I think any information / guidance AJ can give us is just another little advantage we have.

Posted by: Okiewan

Well, considering AJ has been a DRN mod since the very beginning... ie; not brought in for this project, a pinch hitter, etc... his opinion counts as much as anyone elses? We're just fortunate that Dr. Frankenstein calls DRN home

Posted by: Vic

Good info, AJ.

I kinda agree, besides black has been over done, too MM, gotta play off the red

Consider retro look ??? maybe,....................a 500AF Elsinore

i have no idea how many people think like this but imho a woods bike must be a bright color so that however mainute the possibility of avoiding a head on collision it is a possibility. i wouldnt want a white, green , brown, black , or any foliage color . especially no camo sticker kits or helmets

hmmm . . . for a mag test, and being an off road bike, a camo scheme would be kinda cool.

Black Rocks!

Red Wins.
