pro-circuit shorty

hey, i just bought a second hand pro-circuit shorty of my mate for 50 bucks, its off his 01' yami yz 125. anyway it doesnt fit, i no the bikes have different sub-frames but is there any way i can retro-fit the shorty to my 03' yami yz 125, is it possible to get a bracket made up so it mounts on the sub-frame, also i was thinking about bending the the metal tubing so it would fit better, does any one know if this is possible, and if it is do i need to change my jetting. i can get my money back but i am in desperate need of some mid-range/top-end power. any help would be great.
