EAST WINDSOR, CONN (June 6, 2006) – Ready, Get Set, Go! It’s official, Mototown USA has set to open its doors in July but not without kicking off its launch with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony set to take place this Friday, June 9 at 4:30 p.m. A charity auction will follow at 6:30 p.m. which benefits the Road 2 Recovery charity, an organization who helps AMA licensed motocross members with financial assistance if they sustain career-ending injuries as well as providing motivational, emotional, and spiritual support to these individuals and their families.
The Mototown Facility is the first dedicated indoor racing stadium in the United States catering to the motocross and supercross enthusiasts throughout the Northeast and beyond. Other amenities at the stadium includes a pro shop, restaurants like Blimpies, Dunkin Donuts and other high end VIP restaurants, a full service Gold’s and Women’s Gold’s Gym, bike storage, bike maintenance and other industry related businesses.
The L-shaped Stadium will have seating for at least 1,800 spectators and room for up to 500 daily riders to race. It will be 350,000 square feet with 3 tracks each having a clear-span ceiling allowing maximum clearance for riders.
Mototown USA has extended an invitation to Motocross pro rider racers to use their facilities to practice from June 5 to June 9 prior to their official opening since they will be participating in the national races in Southwick, Massachusetts.
