WOO HOO! haha i just got in from trying to get that hog going and NO SPARK! wow... took the old kill switch off, traced and cleaned all wiring connections. I couldnt get that plug that ziptied listed. No shops are open so i just grabbed a b8es. It cant be THAT picky can it? I dont even get a shock from holding it. I also cleaned the mag an stator.
And one more question.. Is the coil, wire and spark plug boot all one peece? I woodnt mind figurin that out b4 i rip it apart not knowing :P
THANKS AGAIN FOR ANY RESPONSE!!

HOOOOO WEE! well heres the skinny.. i wired up a new spark plug boot and SPARK! hah so i go for my maiden voyage, push starting it cuz theres no way she'll start with the kick starter, then i eventually loose cluth grab AND HERES ONE FOR THE RECORD! haha You'll like this.. i know my neighbor did !
The guy i bought it off lost the orignal plastic plug for the oil(keep in mind im very new with bikes) and had an aluminum cap that said SAE 10w-40!!!!!!!!! AND GUESS WUT I PUT IN lol he musta got it off a lawn mower im guessing
So a long story short i need to know wut kinda oil im suppose to run in this thing, i know its sum kinda tranny oil! trust me, i scratched my head for a couple minutes when i read the cap at first

Any motor oil will work, you can use 10w-40 if you like.

I run Valvoline 20-50 in my '81' tranny and NGK B8ES plugs at.035" gap.
I do foul plugs, but after years of experimenting have learned that the 12$ race plugs will foul just as fast as the $2.19 NGKs', mostly due to the weakass ignitions they had back then.
I also run a 50:1 mix of Yamalube 2 R with VP C12 or Power 110 race gas, fuel worth every cent! The Yamalube will carbon up a bit but I don't roast the big end rod bearing like I did when I ran Klotz, go figure
