Aluminum Sub-Frames

I was just wondering what are the advantages of an aluminum sub-frame? I would think they would be lighter, but my KX seems ''front heavy'' as it is.

I doubt most would notice the weight difference. The main advantage is that they are usually cheaper when you need to replace a bent stock sub-frame. I would caution against buying a round tube aftermarket subframe. I had horrible fitment issues and sent several back before getting one that was marginally acceptable. The square tubed models seem to be easier for the aftermarket companies to construct and not deform during the welding process.

Or buy a Honda; they have aluminum subframes from the factory.
