Motocross Footwear

I need a pair of motocross boots. Should I buy them the same size as my tennis shoes or do they(mx boots) usually fit smaller/larger?
Any input would be great!

Go at least a 1/2 size larger. Most riders usually wear thicker socks. Some, like me, need extra room for 661 ankle braces so I go a full size larger. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers size the same so a test fit is almost a must. If you're considering buying mail order, find a local shop that carries the ones you're interested in and try them on before you buy.
