exhaust temperature

Does anybody know what the 2-stroke exhaust gas temperature is at the end of the pipe, going into the silencer? I know it's over 1000°F at the header but I also know it has cooled quite a bit by the time it gets to the other end. Reason I'm asking is I want to connect the silencer to the pipe stinger with some flexible silicone hose if the temps are low enough. This is for my powered paraglider with a KX100 engine... after many problems (durability, not performance) with the bike pipe I'm setting it up with a kart pipe from RCE, but mounting and fitting is a PITA in the space available.

I cannot say what the temps will be in your situation. What I can tell you is that the temp along the expansion chamber is lowest near the fattest part of the pipe. It gets hotter again toward the stinger. The peak stinger temp is is generally a bit lower than the headpipe temp due to surface heat transfer and expansion.
You will probably have trouble with the high temp silicone tubing, as your application runs at constant high temps and high power settings.
