i have a yz 125 and dont know te year. can n e one tell me the vin is 55y-006146 . does n e one know were i can get a head and cylinder for it.

I have a 1985 YZ 125 and the first three digits of my frame and engine serial numbers are 55y. You could have an 84 or an 85. It depends what color bike you have. the 84 YZ's were yellow and black and the 85's were white and red.

hhmm, i didn't know some 84 yz125's were white and red. cool. I do know that you can still get the cylinder and head from the factory. Or at least last time i checked. If I'm wrong, then you could look at ****. I always see lots of parts for those bikes. alot of the parts from 84 and 85 are interchangable. there's almost really no difference between the 84 and 85.

well i have a 1985 yz125 and my eng. number i different. instead of you having 2 sixes i got two sevens. so im thinking it might be a 84
