amazing the reproduction stuff you can get for these now, esp considering there just weren't that many of these imported. I was able to get all new plastic, graphics, lots of small rubber bits, fork top out washers, steering stops plugs, shock springs, much more. only thing I'm lacking is the 2 rubber boots from carb to airbox and from carb to reed block.

Ebey is your best bet(easiest!) to find the parts, they make repops for them.

Wow... she looks nice!! I was talking to a buddy and he has the 175 version(dealer kitted 125)... tempting!

I installed a NOS 175 kit in this bike about 5 yrs ago, makes a huge difference in torque and power.

Oh man, that Mega 2 brings back some memories. I never had one, but "back in the day" I had a 79 RM400, and my two riding buddies (brothers), one had a Maico 450 (1980? not sure), the other had the Mega 2 490. The 3 of us ripped it up but good...talk about some roost throwing, and front ends never on the ground!

nice job on the husky BTW

thanks, your buds 450 was probably either a 400 or 440, both good motors. the 490 was the shiznits though.
