1978 Suzuki RM125 carburetor stock needle?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello everybody I have been working on this 78 RM125 trying to get it jetted and I am having trouble with it running on 1/4 to 3/4 throttle so I need to know what the stock needle on this bike would be so I can start there. Right now it is running a 6F21 needle and it is too rich. If you have any idea what the stock needle is or any of the other stock specs on the carb. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks guys. Aaron

Here are the settings how they are right now how I got the bike.
230 main jet
30 pilot jet
6F21 jet needle
159 R-4 needle jet
air jet-missing

hutcholdschool:

I think Joe, ccs and dirtbikedave may have the info you need. Meanwhile, to keep you busy- here's two sites which might help you narrow stock down. I can't get you a direct hit, alas. I found these sites surfing a month or so ago. What size needle jet is in?

Thanks for the links fatcat I found some good info on those Suzuki service bulletins. I still dont know what size of jet needle, needle jet, and air jet I need but I am crossing my fingers that somebody will come on here and know what sizes I need. Thanks again

Sorry hutch- I don't think they saw your post. I tried to PM to give a head's up, but not everyone has that option opened. Just bump it up when you need to. They'll be by.
