Coils?

Ok, so i`m getting the engine for my IT 175 today, but my IT spark plug wire broke off in side the coil.
So just a quick Question
Would a 1986 Kawasaki KD80 coil work on a 1980 Yamaha IT175?
Both are single wire coils....

Resistance would be a key factor to answering that question.What does it call for?What are you trying to replace it with?

If you install an improper impedance coil with a CDI your problems will multiply.
