86 kx 250 suspension adjustments?

I started getting this old kx250 up and running. After all repairs to other parts Im finally ready to get into the suspension. Can anyone tell me a little bit about the settings. I notice setting adjustments on the rear shock and the front forks but Im not sure which is which. Im wondering which is compression and which is the rebound on both parts. Ive searched for hours and cant seem to find anything about it anywhere. HELP!

Pull the spring off the shock and you can stroke it and feel the change.Same with forks.
