White Bros. carb mod kit 07yz450

I just installed my white brothers carb mod kit, and i must say that for 76 dollars it is definetely worth the money. The bike revs like a 2-stroke with crazy torque. A must do mod for any new yz. The bike is noticably quicker without a doubt.

what is it that they did?

All the kit included was a pilot, leak, and main jet along with a new mixture screw. Then they tell you to wire the two cams in the carb so that they move together. Not sure what they meant by that since i could only see 1 cam, but i still noticed a huge difference without that mod. It was basically a bad ass stage 1 jet kit

maybe it is the throttle cam and the ap cam. i was told it helps to lengthen the squirt timming because the ap doesnt squirt early enough and that is probably where the lean bog comes from not enough fuel fast enough

Does anyone have a diagram of what i should be looking for?I'm new to the fcr carbs. Is the ap cam on the same side as the throttle cam?

yes it is

There can be some lag between the AP actuator and the throttle cam. The purpose of tying them together is to eliminate the lag and force the AP to pump as fast as the throttle opens. There should be an arm sitting on top of a small rod running down the inside of the carb body, this is what you want to secure to the throttle cam. And yes, they are on the same side. In fact they should be almost touching. There is a small adjustment screw where the AP arm meets the throttle. That is how you set the timing. While you're in there take a couple mintues to make sure the squirt just clears the slide when you open the throttle.

I used a JD kit in mine. You could get similar results with a few jets for considerably less money. I noticed a BIG difference in performance after I got the carb set up correctly.

Thank you. It's all making sense now.
