grip trouble

i am having trouble putting on the new grip on my throttle i put the grip glue all over the bar top bottom sides and everything i get the grip about halfway on the its like it wont slide anymore does any one have any suggestions so i can get back to riding thanks.

Gripglue is about like contact cement. You have to work really fast. Coat the tube, and inside the grip, and slide fast! Now if I had to get it off, take an air blower and a tube and blow air under the grip. Maybe a can of wd 40 with a nozzle, same thing, work it under and spray. If and when you get it off, clean with warm soap water, try and scrape the old glue off and dry. Then start over.

I have found compressed air the best way to get grips on

I use gasket sealer instead of grip glue. It holds great, but when you want to remove the grip, a couple cuts and they come right off.

It's more my ghetto "ues what you've got" solution, but it works excellently. I've never had a problem.

They will hold by using water and wiring them and letting them dry. Joe made a good point about if he is using the bigger grip on the throttle tube?
