2 stroke pipe dynamics

I've got a 01 CR 250 and an unused new FMF fatty pipe for a 97 YZ 250. If you'll let me assume that I measured correctly (Prof. Machinist), the stock honda pipe and FMF pipe are very similar in shape and length except the FMF pipe has a larger inlet dia. and slightly longer headpipe length. Anyone care to predict how the FMF pipe might work on the CR?? ( I can make it fit)

It is hard to tell how the engine will react. The dynamics of a pipe is very complex. IF all the angles and tapers are the same, you will getn better bottom end and worse top end if the pipe is longer. If you can, you should calculate how the pipe will work before installing it. It is dificult though to measure the length of the difusers unless the pipe is straight. A CAD- program will come in handy.
