I somehow managed to break 5 of my boots' buckles this weekend so I need to get some new, quality boots. I haven't purchased any boots for 9 years but they don't make the model I have been wearing anymore, big shock!! Any personal experiences? The Sidi boots have a lifetime warranty (unsure of the details on that) but they are pretty spendy. Thanks for any advice!!

Just got a pair of SIDI force and they are great boots. My feet were always soaked after a wet ride with my old boots but the SIDI do a great job of keeping the water out.
My only complaint is that I can't feel my footpegs anymore but eventually I got used to it. I know these boots are protecting my feet alot better than my old pair of boots.
They are pricey but definately top quality.

i'm partial to the alpinestar tech 6's.

I just purchased a pair of Alpinestars Tech 8, and boy am I happy! They too are a little spendy, infact I wasn't going to spend that much until I tried them on. They were easy to break in and my feet feel great even after a full day of riding. I am convinced that whatever brand you get you will be spending 250-300 $$ for some quality boots, and it is worth it..

I would go SiDi's again in a heartbeat. Possiblaly the best protection on the market as for as boots. Buy them they are very much worth it.

Almost all of the major bootmakers deliver a great product - each one having their own little "special features". FIT is the major difference between brands. I tried on boots by virtually every manufacturer [and a number of the major brands are aactually made by the same factory] and only two of them produced a comfortable fit. Don't blindly mail order a brand and size that you've not walked around in for at least 15 min.

Thanks for all of the input!! One last question that I should have asked to begin with: I live in the middle of no where so I cannot try on boots for fit, no dealers for most of these boots for hundreds of miles, so how do the Sidis go for size comparison to a regular pair of shoes like a Nike etc... In otherwords, do the Sidis or Alpinestars go a size smaller or a size larger than regular shoes? Mail order is my only option and if they don't fit I gotta send 'em back!! Thanks again!!

Sidi's are right on the money, compared to shoe size
Good luck, by the way, the Sidi Force (regular sole) is a great boot.

I know I'm late, but I vote for the Sidi's as well. Adjustable calf sizing, and you can change out the soles yourself. Very cool. Of course, I did just pick up my new Tech 6's yesterday. I got a smokin' deal from my local shop and really didn't have the money to spend on the Sidi's at the moment. The 6's are light years ahead of my old AStars M4's, though.

SIdi's or Alpinestars are the best choices and should last for some time. The fit, comfort and protection is well worth the money.
