I am in the process of searching for good quality pants, a jersey, and a helmet. What are your suggestions? These will be my first official riding clothes....I have previously been riding in jeans, riding boots, tee-shirt and a snowmobile helmet (HOT). I ride a '96 XR 250 and do a lot of tight, technical stuff. Thanks for any help! *Winter Rules*

Don't worry too much about the clothing. If I HAD to choose between getting a set of pants&jersey or a good pair of knee and elbow guards, I'd ride with jeans and t-shirt and get the guards. Helmets are more important, make sure you get one that really fits well, and don't buy used. Good Luck!

We have fox pants,jerseys etc. and found them to be very good and have stood up to our abuse very well. I recently bought a hjc helmet and it's great, it was very reasonably priced,has a removable liner and is very comfy.

First, spend your money on a helmet. The nicer the safer. As for gear, I think that Moose is pretty nice stuff for the money, esp is you're not too interested in style
