iCat - Does it really work?

I did a search for info on the iCat mod and didn't find any threads that even referenced it. So, I ask anyone that knows anything about these things to comment on it.

I have read reports from many so called "satisfied testers" of this product, even claims of several Pros testing them this past week at Unadilla and all liking the results.
But I want a non-techno mumbo jumbo explanation of this thing other than "it makes your throttle response feel more crisp"
I figured Eric or Rich will chime in on this at some point.

It's also a great diet tool. It instantly removes nearly 100 pounds from your wallet. 
In case some one wants to order, that works out to $157, or about $50 more than a complete porting job from Eric.
