968 again please. I spent $40 on numbers this year. I wanna get my money's worth.

Posted by: mx547

in the twelve years that i've had it, i've only seen one other bike with my number. but if i don't reserve it, three more will come along--547. kendall will probably be 16 again (kids and ladies classes).

Posted by: Pokie

and still is...

Posted by: Wraith

95. thanks

Posted by: Okiewan

92 please.
91 for Scooter

Posted by: VintageDirt

I'll take 46M again. Maybe I'll have the bikes washed by DW03.

Posted by: Tony Eeds

May I have 181 kind sir. Now I have to get a coool number like Pokie's.
BTW - ^^ is a prime number baby!

Posted by: whyzee

DW3 is a definite, no matter where it's held.

Me 38
Lola 38 b
Lil96 38 x

that should be easy enough.

Posted by: oldguy

We will still be
35 the kid
35 oldguy
35 my wife (so she can drive me home next year) :whiner:

Posted by: Patman

AJ is suggesting I run 666 on my new bike but I think I'll use something different.

would the b be for bride? If so, what is the X? My x was 42w, when I still played softball ....

Posted by: Treejumper

I never run numbers at home and dont have half the problems i do at Dirtweek. So i think i'm going to run letters instead (If allowed) to improve my luck. How about "TJ"? If not 913 again. An 911 for Thatwasclose.

Posted by: a454elk

Let's not cause confusion, I'm Elk #214, Elk Jr. is my boy who runs #216 and should be attending and Poppa Elk, if he can go, will have to choose at a later time. I'm getting all bubbly inside already!!

Posted by: Milk

Gimme 808 please.

Posted by: zio

I'll take 210 this time around, but chances are my home-made numbers will look a tad more like "zio".

Hey Milk, you know... "the 808 kickdrum makes the girlies get dumb"

I never realized how close my number was to YZ Dave until now!!

Posted by: KelvinKDX

Wendy & I will take the same numbers as we had this year:

88 - Wendy (cycledelic Neophyte)
99 - Jim (KelvinKDX)

Posted by: oldguy

Kelvin- everytime I went thru the checkpoint at the poker run Biglou would look completely confused. I found out later he was looking for me in the dark because he heard my voice but never saw my bike.
I still think that was the highlite of DW for me running that KDX of yours in the woods. Thanks again

Posted by: KelvinKDX

oldguy - you know you are always welcome. Anytime i can put a smile on someones face then i have done my job.

It looks like i will be off of the bike for the rest of this season as it is.

Lou confused - that's a new one!!

Posted by: Farmer John

601

Posted by: IrishEKU

007 for me please!

And for all of you getting ready to jump me it's an old story and a long one

Let's just put it this way, everytime I have to give up my SSN# outside of Maine, I usually get the question in a cheerfull way, "Do you have a License To Kill?", I usually answer with the polite reply, "Why yes I do, as long as it's an Executive Order or a Declairation from Congress." That reply has been the end of the conversation with many a shaken questioner and sidways glances

Phillip

468 was the limited edition number of my firehawk! I can't race with even numbers, gotta be odd.

Posted by: firecracker22

I will take 22; even if it's not my official race number it should always be my DRN number.

I will BE there!

Posted by: MrMXer327

blackhawk - I picked 181 because it is a prime number and it reads the same from either side!

Posted by: biglou

Hmmm, 181. From the front, from the rear, forward, backward, even upside down it still reads the same!

Announcer: "OH! Looks like there's a mishap out on the track. Let's see, that's #181 and someone else that I can't make out the number for..."

It looks like Mapquest messed up, it's actually just as quick to go through Calgary, so it's only 2100 miles. Maybe I can borrow a Creed CD!

Posted by: Farmer John

Can I reserve #601?

Best in the Desert class #6, Rider #1! YEah buddy.

I will never need to buy a Creed CD. I have it burned into my synapses. I don't even like pop-metal.

4 again.

Posted by: Txbigguy

30 for me thanks..... I cant wait....

Posted by: Jaybird

Pokie, folks not using that number is more of a superstition than anything, besides it' my AMA number.
Now...when a big, nasty, horned manalishee comes callin and tells me I have to run that number or else....then I may be a little apprehensive about it.

I figured somebody would make a comment like that. I have been here in Louisiana too long. You know we have to confirm everything we say, yeah. Otherwise, you might not get what I mean, no. That was why I said double zero, 00, yeah.

Posted by: evenslower

72 please, hopefully they'll be on the old CR and its new companion though..........

Posted by: cdcd

Still have some electrical tape left. #752 again please.

Posted by: Pokie

DWreck..... what is that 'lesson' you speak of? enlighten please...

Posted by: OnAnySunday

Well, IF i make it, and IF i clear the dirt out of my ears so i know WHEN the races begin, and IF i dont break the bikes gosh darned FRAME again ( ) (although hopefully i'll have a "better" bike next year...nothing personal Flash, but your pushin 21.... ) and IF i can get over the "coffee buzz" from the 12 hour drive enough to ride properly....

i'll take 32 again please.
Thank you.

Yeah buddy! I'd like to see 32 again too. Them was the daze. June of 88 all the way to June of 89. We had us GTCS demos day , got a promotion at work, rode snowsmobiles, ABQ sports show (boxing kangaroo and all), Tama!, bought 3 Bultacos in Sante Fe, went fishin at Navajo Lake, helped the Rodeo Queen move, Tama!, Super Hunky came back to DB in Jan 89, and I paid off my truck and 2 bikes.

That was a party man.

Oh, the goodie-two-shoes won't let Rockie the boxing kangaroo come back to the sports show because there is a New Mexico law that forbids the use of "fighting" animals for entertainment purposes. Sheesh! :silly:

But NM is one of the few states that allows Elk's favorite sporting event to legally survive.... ****erspaniel Fights!

I got my facts a little bit wrong, it's an Albuquerque city ordinance, not a NM state law.

Just to clarify NM law, organized coc...I mean rooster fightning is legal, but dog fighting is not. So there won't be in of those erspaniel fights around here.

Count me in for #24 again this year. Hopefully my daughter will be ready to go, and she will also be #24. Looking forward to seeing yall again.

Posted by: thumbs

I see that Kazykiboy has my number. Darn kids. I'll take 6 again and if we ride the same event I'll add an "A" to my number.

Posted by: Rooster

R13 for me next year.

I gotta take that stinkin number off my bike, everybody sees it and then they think I've actually earned it and they expect to see nac-nac's over the doubles and fourth gear whellies through the whoops. Aint gonna happen, and if it does, just dial 911, cause it will be because my throttle is stuck and I'm moving WAY too fast to bail off!!!

Posted by: motodawg

141 for my boy, 141x for me. Thanks!

Posted by: Pokie

that makes 75 and counting..... this will be one looooooong thread by the time DW'03 rolls around. Am guessing 300 members (incl. non-riders), right?

# 7 for me (again)

I would like #5 and 214 for Chili Jr. I think 5 is free still, the only conflict for 214 is with Elk and Jr and Elk won't be in the same class.

Look at my results in the B motocross race. I'm nowhere to be found. I raced it I swear. The way I figure it is even if I change my number someone else will show up with it, be faster than me and steal my glory, or maybe I will improve so much that..............OK, I'm back from dreamland now.

Hee Hee ... mine as well.  FYI - I was thinking "adult".  Most of us have a thin veil of adulthood about us.

that's 80 who plan early.....

Posted by: _SOLO_

But remember how many people there were that reserved bike numbers compared to how many people actually showed up, even then not everybody used their number they reserved.

Posted by: Jeff Gilbert

But Tigger still has her "Gomer poking stick" and she's not afraid to use it. It would be nice if everyone that signs up does come and even better, use the numbers they reserved but we all know the chances of that. It's just a way to get an idea on who all is considering coming I guess. I know I'll be there.

Ok, I've missed all the other DW events. I can't make promises, but I REALLY plan to make this one. I feel like I've earned the right (from my wife) to go. Put me down for #63.

Is that your official "Factory" number?

Posted by: Rattletrap'83CR480

I can't believe that it's still available, but if it is possible, may I put a lock on the#8 plate? I may have a pumpkin by that time and some new braces for the old, worn out knees.

Yes, I really held out in contract negotiations for that. I wanted to let everyone know how old I was so if I sucked I had an excuse. And as you can attest I faded in those motos!

Posted by: dirty~d~

It's been decided that my number is going to be 80D.   Yes, I'll be there... with #80.

Doooooh!!!     That has to sting a little.

Posted by: Timr

Fred, be ready for the rematch.

Jeff, I usually just pull some numbers out of my gearbag the throw on whatever I have.  If there's duplication, I'll just add a letter to the end of mine.

This past year, I was 76E.  Maybe I'll go with that again.  Year before last, I was 859 or something like that.

Well, I planned on attending DW02, but it took me a while to get back from Indonesia(Bali). Fortunately, I got back before the the bombing. Anyway, I'm planning on being closer to home and I have some vacation time during those dates, so I would like to request #59 again. And this time, I'm coming. I'm getting tired of reading about everyone having fun.

Hey... look we already have 2 non-US-resident riders: #145 Marcus (UK) and #15 El Che Milton (Arg).....let's hope they won't re-fight  the "Falklands" war, or should I say the "Malvinas" war, depending on your geopolitical perspective..... the dirt may be flying, as in a friendly roostertail of dirt! :scream:

is there a Canadian among the 118?

will we some day have our own "Worldcup"?
