ok, you all talk about having one,ive seen photo's of it in the catalogs.. but what does it do and how does it work? does it make the bike harder to turn?

picture a shock on the front of your bike. You hit a rock and instead of the bars jerking out of your hands and you doing a face plant, the shock slows the deflection down and you save it and your friends are sooo impressed that they applaud you.
Your SCREAMING down a straight and the front end decides to do its famous head shake, the stabiler stops this from happening.
It's a oil filled damper that controls the way the wheel turns from side to side, (ONLY FAST LIKE) you can't tell when you turn the wheel, (well you can if you have the bike wheeels off the ground and you rip the bars left to right or versa visa.
Great for off raod, I guess you could use it in MX on rutted courses.
Get one you won't be sorry!!!

There is another brand, GPR that is starting to come onto the market. Nice units, got one for my 03 450Exc and love it. Had a Scotts and it is very good as well, but GPR will Service the unit at NO COST for ever. Scotts charges you whenever you need service (oil changes, etc), and they come in kewl colors to match your machine.
