Variations in pump gas.

I did a search on this, but did not really find anything. My question is, are there huge variations in pump gas from location to location. I recently moved from Georgia to Pennsylvania and it seems like the gas is a lot different. My bike runs like crap on the stuff. Time to rip of the carb and rejet. But it is not just from the different states that the gas seems different. I swear that my truck runs better from the gas at the stations near my parents house. They live about 30 miles away(where that have no emissions laws). Am I out of my mind here, or are there actually differences other that how long it has been sitting in a storage tank?

yes there are plenty of differences up here. we have a summer fuel and a winter fuel which I dont think you are subjected to down south. Just havta love the prices too up here. Although the fuel between Philly and any place 30 miles away probably is the same unless it is New Jersey, I would suspect the gas station you are buying it at. I also believe the winter fuel in Jersey is better than the summer gas in Pa once youhave the jetting straighetned out. The gas station I go to in New Jersey has MTBE in it and the gas I used to buy around my house always collected water so I suspect alchohol in Pa.
