I am looking for tires for my YZ465. The stock tire is a 5.60x18 (rear) I don't find any manufacturers out there using this way of measuring tires except cheng shin and I want good tires, not play tires.
Does anyone know what 5.60x18 converts to in todays nomenclature? I see 90's and 100's by 18, but I don't know what that means.
Will these tires fit? Which is the closest to the 5.60 width my bike specifies? Or is there a manufacturer that makes some decent competition tires with the inch width measurements?

Go with a 110/100-18. I run that size on a 450 Husky and it hooks up good. The 'type' of tire depends on where you plan on racing. I use Dunlop 756's in the Pacific Northwest with good results on mutiple tracks. The way tires were explained to me is on the 110/100-18; '100' mm tall side wall, 110% of height/sidewall is the width, and for an 18" wheel. I may be wrong so try here tire sizing or more sizing

I don't use Pirellis but my friends with XR650s use the MT16 (something like that), it is sized as a 4.50 but it is a very wide tire for the 4.50 rating.

You could also go down to your local parts dealer and they should be able to help.

As a former YZ465H racer, I would go with a '120' size tire. The motor will pull it just fine, unless you want to tame the horsepower through wheel spin of a smaller tire.
