I am having trouble finding the bearing # for replacing the ball bearings with tapered roller bearings for my 73 Honda CR250. The dimensions are Bore 22.5mm, outside dia. 41mm and thickness 12.5 for the upper bearing, and 24mmx41mmx12.5 for the lower.Any one know where I can get a cross reference? My local auto parts store is no help. Can not seem to find any thing on the NET either.

A company by the name of "All Balls Bearings and Seals" makes a set of sealed tapered bearings for the 74-76 MT250 Eslinore.  They should be the same.  Part number is 12-1422.

Sadly, the reference I have (IE Dennisi Kirk Catalog) doesn't give the dimensions...............

Another option would be to try Dave at www.amsracing.com  he is a great source for vintage parts.

I did not want to spend $45 for the ALL Balls kit when if I had the bearing # I could go to the auto parts store and get them for $6 each.

Even though it appears you won't need the info, Pro-Flo has the bearing kit you need for $45.95.

Try looking in the phone book for a bearing distributer or wholesaler.  They can probably give you a generic industry number.

And by the way, your welcome for the effort it took to go look this stuff up for you..............

Ive got a shop near me caled Power Transmissions..they deal in bearings of all sorts for industrial applications. Ive taken them old bearings many times and had them match them up for me. I couldnt get a match for my rod bearings for my KX, but for alot of other stuff it works out. And, it beats paying the dealer prices. Not to mention that with the older stuff you cant get alot of them anyway. A machine is a machine! So anyway if you can find a place like that, you can give them the specs, and they can take it from there...
