I'm looking for some good loops or trails at Stonyford. Will be staging at Little Stony staging area if it open. I heard the dirt road is closed leading out to LS - anyone know if it is still closed? I like 22 and 20 at Stony.
Thanks Dan

I haven't been there lately, but if you plan to do a decent size loop from Little Stony and the snow level is not too low, Trails 6, 7 and 4 are lots of fun.

How about an update on the Stonyford conditions and trails, dp400? I'm trying to plan a ride soon.

We rode in Stonyford 2 weeks ago.
We didn't know the dirt road to Little Stony was closed, so we staged at Little Stony. But later we were told that someone took the road closed sign off, and the road was actually closed. I don't know about the closure now.
The snow was deeper above 5,000 feet, and we couldn't get up to the trails in the higher elevation.
There were bunch of logs lying on trail 21. It was fun going over or around them, though.
And the traction on the hills was great.
By the way, my favorite trails are 4, 20, 22, and 27.

The conditions were PERFECT on Sat. Just great - 20 - 22 had small puddles but great dirt. There was some DUST on the exposed top roads. A little rain will not hurt.
