Getting ready to sell my 1991 XR250L and want to get it as clean looking as possible before selling. Anybody know some good products for a tough cleaning job?

To clean the engine area I always have had good luck with spray nine. Just wet the engine, then spray it down with the spray nine. Let it soak for 5 min of so then blow it off with the garden hose. Works very well.

I also use proclean 1000
I have heard the Pro Mech's use "Simple Green"

Statement and question...
I have been using Simple Green and have VERY good luck with it...very little scrubbing involved and it gets off all the film that just soap and water can leave behind.
Is the ProClean even better? I know it is WAY more expensive...I get my Simple Green for $7/gallon at Costco.

Proclean is more expensive for sure.
(I am still using the sample bottles handed out at the 2000 state championship
Race)! Before that I used Dawn!
Simple Green is a happy medium ....!

I bought a gallon of proclean concentrate right after dirtweek. I also got a spray bottle full of the concentrate. I was able to cut the concentrate in the spraybottle 3-4 times before I had to finally break the seal on the gallon. With this stuff, I spray down the bike, spray on the ProClean, wait a couple of minutes, and hose it off. Generally, I'll do this with the bike still strapped in the back of my pickup.
Simple green never did it for me.

Gotta go with papa on this. Buy the concentrate and cut it... I cut it 50%. It was crazy how well it worked on my boots, got them white again.
Simple green is good stuff, I used it for years but IMO the ProClean is WAY better. I got 2 gallons of concentrate after DW and still have about 3/4 gal. and I do use it pretty frequently as Texas does not really have a winter.
