Have a set that is 6 months old - broke in nicely - feel good- the only problem I've had is the buckles have ground a hole in the inner flap on the fronts of the boots.

But - for $89.00 - I guess I'll toss em soon..

I bought a pair last spring based on Mully's review, and the recommendation of Jeff at MXSouth. I first started out with a pair of Fox Trackers. The Fox's held up well during two years of sporatic use, but they were very uncomfortable (sometimes my foot came out bleeding after a long ride). I then tried a pair of AXO RC-5's which I promptly sent back after a day of walking around the house in them. It seemed they'd take a year just to break in, they were so stiff & heavy.

I love the O'Neals. I've recently discovered they're re-badged Diadora Rainbows. They were comfy from day one. And I'm pleased to report that the initial comfort has not degraded any. I've put lots of hours on them, and other than cosmetic wear, they're still like new. If I have any complaints, it's that they're not 100% waterproof when submerged (I did the bathtub break-in just to see if they would soften up anymore). My right foot came out drenched. But, after the Wilseyville harescramble course that included a hundred yards of the course down a creek & several crossings, my feet finished bone dry.

I have not tried on any of the top-line boots like Alpinestars Tech 8's or Sidi's, but I don't think I'll ever need to. These O'Neals are well worth the price IMO, and I'll probably just buy another pair if these ever wear out.
