Riding gear for large male...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

My buddy wants to get into riding, but can't find riding gear that fits. He's about 330lbs. Does anyone know if gear comes in size 44 waist and 4x jerseys?

I know PapaK and Bundy are both big guys and I don't see them riding around in the buff. :scream:

There's a company that specializes in riding gear sizes up to 5x with custom sizes available. They're called Phat Catt and they have an online catalog at www.phatcatt.com, or you can call them at 1-877-6PHATCATT (toll free).

Good Greif! Phat Catt?!!! Just the name makes me cringe! I know I'm a big guy, I don't need gear with a name that reminds me. Same goes for "Big Dog" crap clothing! LOL I made a funny-big dog crap! Bwaaahahaha! Anyway, I digress.
A 44 waist at 330? What is he 6'6"?
I have bought Moose gear in large sizes and got almost two years out of it. The problem is most companies that offer bigger sizes only offer one color choice( in general) when the sizes get larger.
I just got some Oneil method pants. They look to be pretty well built, but I haven't ridden in them yet.
There are more choices out there now then there have been in the past. Grey Wolf, Moose, Oneil, and even Sinsalo (they will custom make gear to your size).
with only a 44 waist, there should be plenty for him to choose from.

If he wants a chest protector, have him try on a Acerbis Zoom Plus. It is made for larger humans.

. . . with only a 44 waist . . .

Only? ONLY? Dang, that makes me feel downright svelte with my 40 inch waist!

Just as long as I find shirts in 52 muscular.

only a 52?

Try MSR. I've gotten large sizes from them, and the quality of thier gear is good.
By the way I wear a size 46. 44 fits fine but I like the extra room.

thanks, I'll let him know
