Taneum area S. of Cle-Elum

OK Guys, this is by far the best riding area I've ever been to in this state. The views and terrain were just spectacular. Some snow still in higher elevations, but for the most part every trail was open. It's not even in the same book as Tahuya (Belfair) when it comes to riding. If you've never been there, you should go, you "WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED!!"

Great news. I though I heard that you used to be able to ride from the Nachese area to the Taneum area. Talk about a cool cross country loop.

I just got back from Taneum a few mins ago. It was awesome! I was already planning to go back up there the same weekend. I can only go on Sunday though. Are you guys going back up on Saturday again? What campground do you park at? We parked near the Taneum junction? We almost made it to Quartz Mt, but hit too much snow. We still burned off about 3/4 tank of gas.

Well,

Hondaxrguy took me out to Tanem yesterday and all I can say is
"UNFRICKINBELIEVABLE!" We hit up a 35-40 mile loop with everything you can imagine from side number plate deep river crossings to side hills that make you quiver to free flowing trails to put a smile on anyone's face! I'm beat though, that place just sucked the strength right out of me! I can't remember any of the trail names we went on but it was just AWESOME! Too bad its 6 hours of driving to and from plus the ride which was 6 hours +. Wish it was just up the road from me but a great place to go and camp! I think some of us will be heading up there next weekend if anyone wants to join us? Let me know.

Josh
