:thumb:That means some great prizes again this year for the scavenger hunt. Buddy stepped up big for it last year now I have to start thinking where I can hide em this year

Posted by: MX-727

Is Asterisk in for the title sponsor yet?

Posted by: motohead00

Sent a note. Glad to see they are onboard again this year. Great people and great products!

Posted by: MX-727

As we get to the point where we are going to be asking companies to sponsor DirtWeek this year, we need to remember those that supported us last year.

Take a moment to remind them how much their support was and would be appreciated. Here's last year's thread: http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/sh...&threadid=47987

Posted by: MX-727

Went to OGIO last Monday and talked to Andy Bell. Kenny Bartram was there and he remembered me from DW02. He said he had a great time and everyone was really cool. He wants to try and stop by this year, but he needs to double check the IFMA schedule. The guys at OGIO really liked the idea of coming out. Andy basically committed to support us, but won't know until this summer what level and if they will be able to bring a trailer out.

Posted by: Senior KX Rider

Thats cool Todd

Posted by: Patman

If I don't win an Ogio bag this year I'm buying one! My wife wants one for traveling too! I'll bet if they bring some product it WILL get sold, I know I'll bring my wife with her check book (I don't get to use it, somehow the money ends up in the garage  )

Posted by: Thump

PC just came to the plate again.

Posted by: Thump

Jack and Diane will be back so you know to bring your appetite!

Posted by: Papakeith

Always the funny man

Posted by: Thump

Tran-Sport Supply will be there with both trailers so don't bother brining parts and tires and stuff...

They will have cables, chains, sprockets, bars, oils, spark plugs, goggles, tear-offs, brake pads, clutches, guards, grips, gear... and more.

They carry Dunlop and Mich. $59 fronts, 65-69 for rear. Mounting $10 (thats taking it off the bike and putting it back on. They'll replace a tube for a flat for $20 (thats taking it off, replacing and putting it back on)

They will also have fork seals and can replace them as well as do maintenance on the bikes.

If you have any questions or special requests call Michael or Bill at 405.262.0300.

These guys are a paying vendor for the event so lets make it worth their while and hope to have them back for years to come.

Thanks for the hook up Milk :thumb:

Posted by: JWW

Cool... I will bring nothing but a checkbook

Posted by: rv6junkie

Well I wasn't planning on breaking anything...but to be a DRN'er I'll make sure that something falls off the bike

If your anything like the rest of us you wont have a problem breaking things.

Posted by: Zerotact

Now, if we could only get someone there to wash our bikes for us too.........

Posted by: Okiewan

Elk promised to be the bike washer this year. Just drop it off at his camp, pick it up in the morning.

Posted by: a454elk

That's not funny Mister, Twinny owes me a wash for MY bike. Yeah, leave your bike by my camp, see what happens.

I've got a nationwide, year-round camp.  Never leave your bike or motor unnattended.  You never know what might be hiding in the internals or what could be etched into the cases!

Posted by: Papakeith

Thump,
do they have a website?

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Is it true that they only ageed to come if Mr Bill shows up

Posted by: evenslower

Saweeeeet!!!!!!

Posted by: Milk

No website PK.

I think Im into those peeps for bout a million dollars. The yare at all the local events and go to most races around the state. I ordered a pair of CR double hi Tag X5 bars from them a few weeks ago. They were cheaper than Bob's and Chapparal, and I didnt have to pay any shipping.

Their rig is outfitted to the max, and they should have, or can get, anything you need quickly.

Even "Kitty Litter" brand powervalve linkages?

Posted by: a454elk

Just bring your Dremel again Eddie.

Posted by: Lorin

Hey Milk, is this the yellow rig that is out of El Reno? The one that is always at the races on 59th? I have purchased from them before, just never payed attention to the name.

Posted by: Milk

Yessir. Same people and trailers.

Posted by: Tony Eeds

Ok guys - I am going to hit up John and Scott at DFW KTM for sponsorship.

How much do I need to ask for?

I can BS my way through the why, etc., but don't want to come up short, if you know what I mean.

Posted by: Thump

Twin Air is in! Thanks to Jeremy at Twin Air

Posted by: Okiewan

Talked to Jeff at MXSouth today ... they are back in as big as ever this year. If you add it up, MXSouth has donated close to $15,000 in product for give-aways in the previous 3 DirtWeeks!

THAT is giving back!

Posted by: biglou

That kicks ass! Thanks again, Jeff. You guys rock. :thumb:

Posted by: Okiewan

PerforMax is in again this year! Check out their Silence Packing... good stuff.

Posted by: Thump

We have a new sponsor for DirtWeek! Yamaha of Stillwater. Last year a few of our guys ended up nuking their bikes while at DW and headed into town to see what could be found. Both wound up purchasing bikes from Yami of Stillwater. To make it easier this year they will be at Cooperland with new and used inventory and set up to finance bikes right there on the spot! So if you are thinking about getting a new or used Yamaha give these guys a shout and show them that we support the people that support DRN and DW03.

The people to speak to would be John Gough or Paul Sumrall. They are good people and said if you would like to order bike and have it waiting for you when you get to DW set up just the way you want it they'd be happy accommodate you.

Phone: 1.866.YAMAHA1 or 1.866.926.2421

Posted by: Green Horn

Cool!!

shhh, my wife might read this.

I can see it now. I go home and as soon as I pull in the driveway my wife comes running out asking,"Who's blue bike is that on your trailer?"
"Well, ya see honey. I guess I had too much to drink one night and I was hanging out with the guys and stuff..."

Posted by: Weld it

Sounds like it will be a popular place but if they there were
offering demo rides it would sure to get alot more attention.

Maybe they could charge by the minute !!

But there is the possiblity they would rename it to demolition rides.

Weld it

Posted by: BSWIFT

I've been stopping in there every couple of weeks reminding them of DW.  Glad to hear they're on board.

Posted by: Pokie

may be they should consider "renting" bikes for guests who are flying in from far away?

Posted by: mx547

john's a good guy. he's been a riding bud for the last several years. i've never met paul.

Posted by: Treejumper

I second Jay's comment on John! He went out of his way helping me try to fix my bike. When that didnt work he made my new purchase a great experience. Thanks John!

How about George and Ringo?

I hope they will be there next year, because I plan on buying a new WR450F at DW04. It really would be cool if they'd let you test ride one before you bought it, but only if you were really serious about it. I think DRN'ers can be trusted to not abuse a new bike they're not really interested in.

That's a no brainer, and was implied. It's one of those things that goes unspoken, but everyone still knows about it.

Posted by: Rich Rohrich

Nice work Thump.

Posted by: Thump

CycleZone KTM and Briggs and BSPP (formerly Genrac) are back!

Beat me to it, Eddie!

Posted by: Okiewan

Pssst.
This was the work of more than just Thump-O-Matic.
Two bikes were bought last year (I know of TreeJumper, but who was the other?), BSWIFT has dogged 'em a few times as well about coming out. It's a team effort kinda thing

And oh yeah, they are suppling the 450's for Dubach AND.... DRUM ROLL... BILLY!

Posted by: MrLuckey

Wasn't TxBigGuy the other one? Seems like it but my memory

Posted by: Okiewan

That's cause you an OLD FOOL dats why!

Posted by: Treejumper

Yeah TxBigGuy picked up his there too.

Uhhh it seems as though I DID remember while you were left clueless, not to mention the fact that you ARE older than I

Sometime before you get too old we really have to repeat our Indy hotel bar experience

Anybody else wondering if they'll be back next year after Billy get's done with the loaner? :scream:

Posted by: Thump

Yeap, I just made the call. TreeJumper and TX Bigguy were the ones that did the ground work. I deserve no credit for this one. I hope we can make it worth their while to participate every year!

Posted by: BSWIFT

TXBigGuy rode mine, took off his gear, got in his truck, went to town and came back with the 450.  He had had a 250 on order but rode the 250 and the 450 back to back and just did it.

Thanks agen.

I found one of the scavenger-hunt envelopes (on Jack & Dianne’s of all places). Inside was a free sample of ProClean. I have been an avid user of Simple Green for years and really thought that there couldn’t be anything better for cleaning bikes and equipment. Boy was I ever wrong.

I just got back in from cleaning my bike. I thought for sure that I’d have to disassemble everything to get it clean. Not so. ProClean got my bike 100% clean. In fact, some of the crud I couldn’t remove BEFORE Dirtweek came off. I’m a believer.
