Has anyone used a fuel additive like Techron. Will it harm the lubrication properties of 2 cycle oil ? Will it remove the carbon build up on power valves? Some gasolines have this stuff in it. So what about it?

tried it and it worked, end of story

Does anybody else care to comment on this subject?
I've always thought that using fuel additives (I.E. Techron) at more than what is already in the pump gas was a bad idea for a 2-Stroke.

I have heard that Mobil-1 MX2T oil has enough kerosene in the fuel to keep your power valves clean. Can anyone confirm this?

I checked their website, It says it is not intended for air cooled 2cycle engines. It says it can be used in water cooled boat engines but they have done no test. They also say it will not harm boat engines.
My power valve was sticking open. It would slowly close back after a few minutes. I mixed up 5 gallons of gas with 2 oz. of Techron per gal.. The power valve has not stuck since and my bike is running great.
