I felt like we were in the Olympics.  We had the traditional events (MX, Hare Scrambles and Poker Runs) and we had the experimental events.  Medals (trophies) were awarded in the traditional events, but not the experimental.  No big deal.  If the experimental events graduate to tradition, maybe there will be awards next year.

In the Barrel racing, Mike Snook won round one.  Vic Flegel, a member of the MI Mafia, won round two.  Unfortunately, Vic had to drive the KTM rig back to Michigan and could not stick around for the HS or MX events.  However, I do expect to see his name on DRN soon and I would not be surprised to see his family in Cooperland next year.

FredT, another member of the MI Mafia, won the mini bike race in the >50cc event.  I am not sure of the winner of the 50cc race, but I think the engine had some accessories added to it.

Fiveo (Neil) won the 50cc mini race. He's done some serious work to his fitty. I finished second, and The Kid (Eric Hollub) finished third. Elk was fourth after losing a terrific battle with Eric.

The AA rider on the #42 KDX is Barry Scheffenberger or something like that. He was jumping all the jumps on the big track on a brand new, bone-stock KDX220. His son was his partner in the team hare scramble.

#42 Barry Sulzberger... Iowa KDX220... could it be?

That would be the guy. He was really nice. . .for a sandbagger.

I believe he was part of the Weld-It group.

Pokie got it right ......

Barry is one of the nicest guy's you would meet and extremely versatile on a motorcycle. Ask and he will tell you " I'm 43 years on a stock KDX - what do you expect "

I would think next year the team harescrambles should be set up like the team MX by random team members, call them ringers / sandbaggers but
it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I was the one that drew his name next year :thumb:

The whole "Weld it " group had a ton of fun and met some very nice people that would go out of there way to help or talk to anyone there
we are going to make this a annual trip for our group, there is nothing else like it.

Barry is a really nice guy. Just before the gate dropped for the headlight race, I asked him to not beat me too bad. He obliged by dropping it in the same turn two laps in a row. Made me look like a hero.

Thanks, Barry!

JP..... you got the complete results of the PIT BIKE race?

it would be nice to list all the participants...

thanks

There was a mutiny in the scoring tower. All I have is top three.

Slo Mo and LoriKTM also worked on scoring. Maybe they can remember details?

I'm very proud of my last place finish, really.

Stacy was new to racing and was afraid to ride the HS loop alone. She had a great first lap (27 minutes) in the team HS but a bad crash during her next lap.

After her bad experience in the team event she didn't want to race in the Inidividual HS but I promissed her that I'd stay behind her the whole way. She put together two very good laps (27 minutes and 31 minutes - they didn't send us back out for a third with only 2 minutes left in the race). She now loves HS races. Look out guys, I think she'll be passing a lot of us next year!

Mully and crew - you guys put together a great loop. The section on the other side of the river (mud river that is) was great. I was one of the lucky ones that made it across the river before the bridges were put down. THANKS for those bridges! It was a shame that the longer cavern section wasn't part of the race loop because a lot of people didn't get to see it. If you waited to see the section of the loop that was across the river until race day you missed a real cool experience.

I can't wait for the DVD's of that course.
