(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: gospeedracer

At least one of the nights (probably Sat.) we are going to do a group dinner at the Mexican buffet place we went to last year. Please post here if 1.) you know you want to be there and 2.) you can and will send your money in to me in advance.

Once we reach the minimum number of people required to reserve the big room there (Strick is getting that # from the restaurant) we will let you know what the price per person will be. We will then set a deadline to have your money in to me to reserve a space for you at the buffet. I'll post more details about payment when we get a head count.

Strick,

If you're planning on doing Mexican on Saturday night.... let's do a big Pizza thing on Friday night. I suggest Pizza - because it's easier to get a large group of people into one spot/dining area.

Cheers! - RandyB

Posted by: E-Ticket

Cool, Speedy! I forgot to mention that Ron will be staying with us at the PepperMill Casino Motor Lodge.

We'll get his bike/truck/arrival stats later. And Susan and I are willing to help with the dinner/money-gathering arrangments so Strick and Mimi don't have to sweat it this year.

Thanks for all your help! - rb

I'm in!

Posted by: steph

Steph can't make it, but her husband would like a meal ticket....count me as one.

Pete

Posted by: Strick

O.K. Reservations made for 2/14/04 at 7pm (7:30pm is fine), La Pinata. $13.00 per person, includes tip, soft drink, and buffet Mexican dinner (all you can eat). Bar drinks are on you (extra).

The room holds 60. We will probably have a minimum to meet if we use BOTH of the large rooms. Combined, both rooms will seat 125.

Posted by: RockyRoads

Hi, Strick! I thought that the dinner would be Saturday night, instead of Sunday the 15th. I'll be heading home Sunday afternoon, so I won't be able to make the dinner--please take my name off of the list.

Posted by: nikki

Thanks for making the reservations, Strict!!! Sounds like a good time - I can't wait! Did I mention we LOVE Mexican buffets!

Posted by: gospeedracer

Pass the frijoles!

Posted by: VintageDirt

Oh don't you worry roomie, I'll be passing plenty of frijoles

Posted by: zio

hey wes, are you coming from the south, up through CA, or going the northern route?

Posted by: zio

hey wes, are you coming from the south, up through CA, or going the northern route? I may hitch a ride & help with gas (and gasoline) if you are to swing up my way. It may be a significantly farther drive, though. Better check mapquest.

Posted by: VintageDirt

Zio, I planned on going through Vegas and up through Tonopah. It's a 1000 miles that route. I would only consider going through CA if there are blizzard conditions in Flagstaff. I'm also planning to leave ABQ on the 11th and retrun on the 16th.

But if you need a ride maybe we can work out a trade.

Careful Wes, if push comes to shove and you tick Zio off he's liable to trump your passing of frijoles with a colon blow

Posted by: zio

Eddie, I'm saving the colon blow for when I come stay at your house.

Posted by: mxbundy

Add 2 please!

Mxbundy and mrsmxbundy!

Eddie, if you thought that roost was bad at LBL,
wait till sunday after eating all this mexi-can and tanking up on some alki-hall. Dont be caught behind me is all I got to say!

Add 2 more, Belle and I are confirmed for the Mexican buffet.

Bob n Belle

Posted by: endoquest

Me too, possibly one more. Mmmmm, yummy.

Posted by: Strick

I just called to confirm the BIG room again, and give the owner a tenative count. All is a GO at La Pinata Mexican Restaurant.

Posted by: Strick

Direction to La Pinata from the Peppermill:

North on Virginia St. (the street that runs in front of the Peppermill) to Plumb lane. Turn right on Plumb. You will travel east on Plumb to Kietzke Lane (3rd lights to Kietzke). Turn left on Kietzke Lane. The next light is Vassar street. Turn right on Vassar and a fairly quick left in to that shopping center parking lot. The La Pinata should be in front of you.

Posted by: KiwiBird

Note these directions will also work if you are WALKING from the Peppermill to the restaurant.

Posted by: Strick

Kiwi - it is not written anywhere that those are 'driving' directions. They also apply if you are riding a mule.

Posted by: E-Ticket

Posted by: gospeedracer

Leaving work at 4:00 today to catch a 6:30 flight!
Won't arrive in Reno until 11:00pm and probably won't get to the Peppermill until around 12:00am. Want I should call you when I get to the hotel?

Posted by: Strick

no, I'll be waiting there, room 843

Posted by: gospeedracer

Good, I prefer hotels with a turn down service. Don't forget the mint.
