I ride a Yamaha WR500 #689, I'm the only bike that showed up for the event.

That wheelie was intentional, right?!?
I can't imagine drag racing a 500 with a paddle tire...sounds like a "Recipe For a Loopout"!

No, that was not intentional. It almost got away from me! This was my first event with the extended swingarm. I was running a 4.33 secondary ratio and the bike kept spinning the tire, so I short shifted the 2-3, the engine fell down out of the band and came back on very fast.
I changed to a 4.00 gear after that, and all my times improved.
Before I went to the extended swingarm, clutch management (which I stunk at managing) with the paddle tire was very critical and had many close calls with "loopouts."
