Posted by: Maxed Out501

Middle Tn. Dirt Riders (MTDR) is bringing you the 2004 Loretta Lynn spring trail ride April 3&4. More info coming soon!

Posted by: Yamahauler

Can't wait!

Posted by: deagle

This is the premier single track ride of the year. Don't miss this one.

Posted by: RAHRAH

Ill be there for three days adn cant wait

Posted by: sharp

I plan on being there for the first time and can't wait!

Posted by: Timr

It's on my calendar.  I plan on going with a crew from Bham.

Posted by: AgentOrange

Hey RAHRAH, you got room for one more????

Posted by: jimacton

Hey guys. I'm new to dirt biking and have heard people mention the Loretta Lynn but I have no idea what it is. Can someone explain it to me?
thanks

You can get some info here

http://www.lorettalynn.com/campground/body_events.html

Posted by: rv6junkie

Is this open to anyone? Are there classes for kids on 65's? Iv'e seen that course on TV and it looks awesome.

Posted by: Timr

Gary,

This is not on the National MX track,  this is a trail ride.  There are three loops of trails laid out there on the property including one for kids.   Read my report:

http://sera.dirtrider.net/LorretaLynns.html

Post here if you have questions.

Posted by: rv6junkie

Thanks, Tim,

Connor isn't ready for the nationals (or the locals for that matter) but I've always have heard about Loretta Lynn's being such a great place to ride, especially for kids. I thought that this event might be a good way to let him see/ride it.

Posted by: Maxed Out501

All ages are welcome. There is a beginners loop which is basically a grass track. Then there is a novice loop which can range anywhere between 3 to 4 miles long. Then the main loop we try to make around 20 miles long, depending on conditions. This ride is for bikes only no atvs are allowed. Keep an eye on www.mtdr.net for more info.

Posted by: Timr

You welcome Gary.  This is one of the premier trailrides in the southeast.   It's like a mini-DW jammed into 3 days.  If it's not too far, it's well worth the trip.

Posted by: ScottZX7RR

Personally I think it is much better than DW's myself. I have been to all the LL Fall Rides and one Spring Ride. The atmosphere is great there. Jack, Tom, Bill, and some of the others that put together the trails are great guys that put a lot of love and dedication into them. Tom(Current President) spends about 3/4 the year there working on the courses. Heck this year he was even there on his wedding anniversary finalizing the event specs for the fall ride. Can you ask for more dedication than that? It is a must do event every year!

Posted by: Timr

Scott,

I just meant that it was fewer days.  The riding is AWESOME!!!

Posted by: RAHRAH

Agent orange your welcome to jump in with me the only way I go is in the motorhome. I usually get to clear the trails for a few weekends before the ride and Im gonna try and make an early run on friday probly.
that is if there is still a ride.
I understand that the vsta organizations plans didnt go through (the gov't) and that there is no longer a vsta. Ill find out if another club is going to resurrect LL so that we can all come and enjoy ourselves for a few days a year. LL is all single track during the spring and you would not think that it is the same place that we get to haul ass around during the fall. its 4th and 5th for the fall and 1st and 2nd for the spring. this one is not for the kids. I dont remember a kids loop for this one. 24 miles of virgin single track every spring is hard on this terd. 2 loops a day is hard core. you shall see.

Posted by: RAHRAH

never mind mtdr is our savior for april 3,4
agent orange I ll be there on the 2nd.
I will warn you thou Its single track only!! b ready for some fun )
(at least the crashes will happen at a slower pace) Im hoping.

Posted by: paddy

One more????????? Hey Al it is like Jello ( a analogy you will relate too!!!) there's always room for more!!!!!! Hope yopu can make it.

Paddy

Posted by: deagle

It is a correct statement that the Spring ride is put on by MTDR and we were backed by VSTA. Having said that, don't worry, the Spring ride is not in jepordy and it's doubtful there will be any problems with the Fall ride. Things have a way of working out if ya wanna ride bad enough. I agree that the main loop is not for small kids with small tires, heck, there are times when I wish I would have hit the last 911 exit, but the other trails and entire weekend in general are great for kids and family alike. Keep looking on the MTDR website for specific info and registration forms. The hotels in the area usually give a discount for that weekend as well.

Posted by: deagle

www.mtdr.net

Posted by: deagle

I have a buddy traveling 600 miles for this one, whats the farthest anyone is going to drive?

Posted by: mudchick

There is a kids loop and a 3 mile novice loop that has been, and will be available to the younger and beginning riders. No club membership will be required to ride. Everyone on two wheels is welcome! Look forward to seeing you all there!

Posted by: Maxed Out501

Ride info is now online at www.mtdr.net

Posted by: Slomack

LL Spring ride WOO HOO! Looking forward to hitting the trails again. RAH RAH, Paddy, Mike, Mr Luckey and J, good trails, good fire, serious s*%! talkin, and lots of coolers to choose from!!

By the way Paddy and Mike, where the hell have you guys been?

Posted by: paddy

We have been around (riding circles around Tim that is), need to hook up and let purr of the 450's do all the talk'in. Got to work this weekend but maybe we will ride the weekend of the 31st.

I know we will have some fun (get into trouble) at Hurricane Mills but we defiently need to ride B4 then.

Later Paddy

Posted by: MrLuckey

Hey Slomack, long time no see. Weather here has been dastardly cold of late. We're headed over to KC the last weekend of Jan to try and get in some seat time and then it's off to RENO mid February. I'll be making every attempt to get down to LL for the spring ride :thumb:

Posted by: paddy

Hey Eric make sure you are there as we had planned on putting you on the schedule again!

Al (Agent Orange) said he is going to try and make it so maybe you two can carpool it from ST Lou.

P.S. Make sure you bring enough beer this time!

Paddy

Posted by: MrLuckey

Uhhh, you said you had everything covered and all I needed to bring was my bike and gear

Posted by: Slomack

Hey Ed, long time no see for sure, good luck in KC, I hope we can ride again soon. Oh, I'm sure Paddy meant Beeeer, not gear. And besides, we know how to handle a low beer situation!!

Posted by: RAHRAH

Sup guys
Im not drinking only sitting by the fire. StrokinSteve will probably be in the trailer this time instead of the motorhome. Either way tv dont work. end of that conversation.
Slomack who in the hell were you with at salsberry a couple of weeks ago. somehow I got out in the woods and ran out of gas that day. Do we have to console with tim before you get to ride with us or something. i wonder if tims getin mikes dads trailer ready for LL
No need to think that your the loner because I havent seen paddy or mike on a bike since nov.
They must be tryin to paint their pumpkins red or somethin

Mr. Ed I mean luckey dont plan on splitin your ass some more just to make it home early on Sunday. The ride will only be Sat. and Sun. You can handle two days of riding but maybe not 2 days with the company you will have to be with! you cant miss it even if you have to stay with Steve hahaha
ok sorry
yall cant sleep in the same bed.
anybody heard from Cal, lonnie or darby? They had better get in.

Posted by: MrLuckey

StrokinSteve LMAO.....You're right Slomack, we now have a viable plan.

RahRah, the only thing that could keep me from coming down and riding with you is work.

You really think you're gonna get away from us that easy!?

Of course we're going!

Dad and I will only be there Saturday though. Not sure if Darby will stay for Sunday or not. We may have some fresh meat with us too. My uncle bought my CRF450. He's getting back into riding after a 10 year break.

Posted by: RAHRAH

hey Cal its good to hear from you.
can I check out the 4fitty? only 1 loop I promise I will give it back to you Sunday evening. That way I might be able to get yall to stay.
God gave us all of these great things for us to enjoy. You wont be disappointing him by spending one Sunday with some constant beer drinkers.
Im sorry I should be a good influence. Im not drinking.
Please spend Sunday with us.
Ok no roosting each other on Sunday.
If you or Lonnie will preach Ill bet we can gather enough people for a service on Sunday and then a ride!!!

Posted by: CAL

Trust me, I've thought about that one!

But, sorry, we won't be there on Sunday.

Posted by: RAHRAH

I bet youll be preaching after I get back with yur bike!!!!!!!
Just kidding I dont like treatin other people bikes that way.
Im the responsible one having two times the fun!!!

U should be ashamed of yourself for thinking Im lying.
At enduros there is usually a service the night before. we will even let you take up an offering. wont you stay and play? give us a service we can all enjoy. then you can enjoy the remainder of the ride. Its not one to miss out on. I promise I can get more to come if you will preach.

Posted by: CAL

HA, that pumpkin may preach to you for me! She's pretty sweet, I tell ya. She's fixin to be sweeter, once I get the new suspenders on.

If the motive was different, I'd give ya a sermon you'd never forget. But I don't think conducting track side services, so I could ride, is the right way to go about it.

Give me your email address. I've got an email to send you. I didn't send it to you originally because I figured you were too far away, but you might be up for it. Ironically enough, it involves workship, and dirtbikes...

Posted by: Maxed Out501

You guy's will be worshiping the Motrin gods Sunday.

Posted by: KelvinKDX

i missed the LL Spring ride last year - don't plan to do that again. I'll be there this year - the riding's too good to pass up.

Posted by: K_Dale_X

The spring ride is not a race but a trail ride. The spring ride is pretty much put on by MTDR (Middle Tennessee Dirt Riders). Its a great time and LL's is a great place to camp and ride. The spring ride is usually bikes only but there is also a fall ride for bikes and ATV's. These are the only two times LL's is open for riding other than racing as far as I know. For more info:

http://www.mtdr.net/

Posted by: mhardee

For those who have never been, I went last year for the Spring ride (and the Fall) for my first time. I can tell you, it is worth going.. There are hills, rocks, tight trails, open trails, rocks, creekbeds, (did I mention rocks?) . Definately a must-ride once in your lifetime deal..

By the way, the rocks are not that bad :-)

Woooo Hoooo Im in.
Just got approval from those who matter. So is everybody camping, moteling or commuting in for the day?

Hey Walt, if you need to make a pit stop on your way, let us know. We're about 1 1/2 hours from LL's. :thumb:

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Sounds good Corey.
I just might take you up on that. Are you camping or commuting? Are you, Lonie and Darby carpooling, goin solo or not planned yet. I can bring my trailer to sleep in, that would be my preferance if Im camping.
Also, r u driving there Sat am or Friday and camping?

Posted by: jsned

Whats the chances of NOT getting a camp site with a electric hookup? I am gonna camp, and think it might be cool enough at night to run my little electric heater. I just take the seats out of my van and put in a air mattress, perfect for a couple nights. I am really looking forward to this. :thumb: Heater or not, I am going.

WaltCmoto, I see you live in Northern Il, unfortunately so do I. Whats your plans for driving down there. I will be going by myself, but like to follow someone else incase of car or trailer trouble. If your are interested let me know. I live in Kankakee.

Posted by: Maxed Out501

Just about every campsite has at least water and electric. If you get there Fri. evening or sat. morning you shouldn't have a problem.

Posted by: Darby

jsned, you dont want to carpool with Walt. He will usually just drives to the ride area, eats lunch and then goes home.

Ohhhh that's gonna leave a mark

Posted by: jsned

Maxed out501, that was my question I forgot to ask. Can you get there Friday night and camp?? I take it you can.

Posted by: paddy

LOL at Darby........Maybe he should ask SGT if he wants to go, eat and turn around and head for Illinois!!!!!!!

PG

Posted by: Maxed Out501

You can start camping there tomorrow if you would like.

Dang this is a rough crowd

jsned, Ill send ya a pm

Posted by: MrLuckey

You know we love ya Walt :thumb:

Posted by: Darby

Walt, you dont have to unload your bike. You could run around the loop faster than I can ride!

We haven't discussed it yet, but we usually carpool down Sat. morning, then come back Sat. afternoon.

Since it looks like "the crew" will be there, we may head down Friday night if someone has some floor space or hang around for dinner Sat. night.

Posted by: RAHRAH

hey corey I got lots of floorspace. if th motorhome fills you can sleep in my trailor or yours but either way if you need heat you can still hookinto a plug.
if I find a goood cooker im gonna turn out some bbq and some ribs after an all day ride!!!! you can sure tell its lunchtime caint cha!!

we dont mind if you chill with us. Im not for certain who in the heck is stayin with me yet but I know Im goin adn so is my bike and bed. as far as I know only steves laid claim to a pillow somewere. if he gets to busy he can stay in the traillor.

Posted by: paddy

Cory you and the murray crew need to make it down Friday Night! As for Steve he may not be the ideal bunk buddy (strokin) but John is OK and he is a good cook. Walt you will need to be there Firday night - I insist!!!!!

Paddy, I don't know why you're so hung up on us living in Murray. We live in Benton. I'm about 10 minutes from Paducah, and 40 minutes from Murray.

We'll try to make it Friday.

Posted by: paddy

OK OK OK Benton - It is all in Kentucky. I should have stated "kentucky crew". I will update my data base ASAP.

PG

Posted by: RAHRAH

yall will definitely need to get in on friday night. after the ride youll be getting I would think that you will be affraid of leaving and driving a vehicle in the same day.
I plan to get a few days of good hardcore abuse in. the least you could do is campout with all of the crew for one night geesh. I think if steves gonna be strokin itll be on the porch!!! unless in fact this time he finds a partner.

Posted by: WaltCMoto

"Walt you will need to be there Firday night - I insist!!!!!"

If you insist, Friday it is. Save me a spot for camping if ya can. But Im still not talking to Darby.

Posted by: CAL

Just found out my wife is leaving that Friday afternoon for Henderson, TN.....so I'll be there Friday night for sure! Yallj be sure and have some good grubb fixed for me when I get there.

Posted by: RAHRAH

hey girllies I just have heard through a buddy that its gonna be a 3 day ride so Ill be there from thursday on til Sunday!!!!!

Posted by: Darby

Walt, I have a brother in Bloomington Il. If you would rather drive to his house with your bike and eat lunch I could set that up for you. It would save you lots of time!

Posted by: Maxed Out501

Sorry it is still a 2 day ride Sat. and Sun. Check www.MTDR.net., and don't forget to preregister! Save some money. :thumb:

Posted by: RAHRAH

Thanks A Big One.

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Any one download the pre-reg form @ MTDR web site yet. I cant get it to open on my confuser. unless i can get it open, I might be eating in Bloomington.

Posted by: Maxed Out501

If you have been at the last spring ride or the last fall ride you should be getting some info in the mail. so keep an eye open for that too.

Posted by: Maxed Out501

It also takes the ADOBE reader to open. Adobe has a new update, you might want to try that too.

Posted by: MrLuckey

Corey, their idea of grub is a ham sammy or frozen microwave spaghetti. Swing through Hardees or Burger King on your way

Posted by: RAHRAH

hey everyone steve's out of the motorhome. since its gonna be on the first of the month he will be too busy to be able to go on the ride. Im going alone as of now.

Posted by: mudchick

If anyone has any trouble downloading the pre-registration form, or has any questions pertaining to MTDR's Spring Ride, feel free to email me at :mudchick@comcast.net and I'll get one out to you.
I just finished sending out 2000 mailers to all former VSTA(as it does not exist anymore) members and Tennessee Motorcycle Dealers(along with several dealers in many surrounding states).
This is a DIRT BIKERS ride only. No membership is required to ride.
And if anyone would like to help MTDR in preparing the trails we will begin work the first Saturday in March. And continue every Saturday and Sunday until the ride . For further info and updates, refer to our web site at: www.mtdr.net

Thank you!

Posted by: KelvinKDX

One of my buddies is moving to Birmingham, AL for a promotion (Rockwell Automation). We'll meet at LL for the ride (i'll bring his bike from Ohio). See all ya'll there.

Posted by: jcramin

PADDY and MIKE ill be headed out about lunch time on that Friday from Bartlett. I need someone to save me a pullthru sight near you guys. Im picking up my new enclosed trailer this week I HOPE.

I told my wife about the talking I did at the Fall ride and she said I better keep my mouth shut at the Spring ride. Especially about possitions and preferances.

J

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Is someone gonna try to save camping spots for our group?, or is it even allowed?

Posted by: jcramin

Paddy, Mike, Mrlucky and everyone else that was at the Fall ride. We need to get that same area as last time if possible so we have the large open area for the fire ring that SOMEONE moved to a spot it wasnt supposed to be......

Posted by: MrLuckey

Agreed Jay...I wonder who would do such a thing?

Posted by: paddy

We are planning on being there mid day friday we will a few but we cant hold them for long as it is unfair to the others. every year is has worked out ok as long as you get there on friday and not to late.

pg

Posted by: Timr

I hope to be there Friday around 5:00 or 6:00. I may be by myself. Looks like my buddy doesn't want to go because of too many races. Whatever. So, who wants to provide me with a place to sleep? Just kidding. I'll probably sleep in the van.

Posted by: jcramin

Paddy what time do you plan on leaving the area on Firday ?????

I get off work at 11:00 then ill head home and hookup the trailer and head out.

I'm planning on being there sometime that weekend - probably Sunday am like last time..

Where were you last Sunday? Missed a very large group ride that was pretty good until the last 3 or 4 miles when bikes were running out of fuel left and right... My 500 (I put that butt-ugly IMS tank back on) made it!

Mark

Posted by: paddy

J- that time frame sounds right with us but we never know for sure until a day or two b4 we leave.

mark- had to work, heard it was a great ride. it is a new kx 500 or the one i rode at kids camp?

RAHRAH,
I was talking to paddy about camping and he mentioned you might have some space. Bike trailer to sleep in?
Is there room in the Inn? Im trying to decide weather to pull my trailer down to camp in or just thow the bike in the truck and find a place to lay my head.

Posted by: RAHRAH

hey WaltC jump on in I dont care Timr you can have in too. Theres plenty of room all I need is the bed in the back and the micro and fridge and maybe even a good cook. Im not at all possitive about which trailer is comming with me but itll probably be the enclosed. You can even bring the stuff to make whatever specialty it is that you cook!!!!! if my girlfriend comes(doubt Ill ask) Ill try keep her quiet and in the kitchen. Anyway theres plenty of room so bring your bike and an air matress for the rest of the people that might want to load up.
Hey timr you going to the acadiana enduro? give me a shout beforehand if you are. Im planning on being there too.

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Sounds like a plan, a good 1 I might add. Ill definetly take care of a few meals! My better half ussually sends me with plenty of home made cookies and some dinner fixins. We can go over details closer to the time.

Posted by: Timr

Acadiana? I'm not sure, can't remember when it is. But, my kids schedule this spring is nuts. Not too much time for racing. Plus, if I'm going to be gone for a whole weekend, I think I would rather trail ride on both days instead of race. We'll see.

BTW, bring a DVD player to LL. I'll make it worth your while.

Posted by: Darby

What kind of dvd you got, Timr? Dirtweek?

Posted by: RAHRAH

Cool Waltc,
timr does that mean your in my motorhome 2. Itll be fine but the next vacancy will be on the floor or in the trailer!!!!!
I just won a dvd player from napa!!! what a surprise!!! buying from a parts store finally paid off. I even planned on giving it to my dad for the motorhome. Oh yeah that better be your extra dvd!
My helmet cam has been working overtime!! So you had better be ready for somemore footage. Next take LL!!!!

Posted by: dead

I'm going to try and make this ride with KelvinKDX. Hopefully, things work out.

look forward to seeing you

Hi all, I'm a n00b here on the forums! Great info, I was searching and getting discouraged thinking I'd never find a place to ride. Anyway, I just bought a used 2k Honda CR 500R. If you all know of any other TN off road spots to ride dirt bikes Email me at NXNitrousMustang@aiol.com and let me know.

Regards,
John

How many of you have pre registared so far?
Do it by March 24th and save $10 a person. Plus then youll be obligated to go.

I haven't pre-registered yet, but i do plan to go. The forms been sitting on the kitchen table for about a month now. The last two weekends at TNT and Hatfield-McCoy have gotten me back into the riding crave.

Posted by: RAHRAH

hey waltc sounds good. Ill bet my girlfriend will be taggn along but atleast well have someone that can cook!!!!. adn the motorhomes got jacks so it willl be hard to rock. If your wife is good at spagehetti thatlll be great! if her spageti sucks and doesnt have any meat leave it at home!!. we can have that for lunch a few days and have my girl cook something good for supper!!
timr you cookin? or taging along? Ive got to start planing now cause I save enough stuff for the last minute!

Posted by: lawman

i'm in. i'll prob just drive up sun. a.m.

Posted by: ToysRUs

Here it is.
Main Loop is 21 miles of sigle track "not including the expert sections".
Novice Loop is 3.5 milles
Kids grass loop is maybe 1/2 mile.

The weather should be great and the trails are possibly in the best shape ever!!!!!

See You all there!!!!

Posted by: MrLuckey

Ok I guess Al is officially out so I'll be headed down by myself. Corey, I'll probably leave STL around 1:00 on Friday, we need to discuss options for the trailer handoff.

OK - Wrench, Greenman and Dead have all backed out on me in going to LL's next week.

I'll probably just throw the bike in the back of the truck and drive down Friday night after work by myself. Anyone have any spare quarters for Friday or Saturday evening?

If anyone from the Dayton area is heading down let me know - i'll have room in the truck.

I got problems!!

I narrowed my bars last night and now my throttle cable binds up when I turn my bars to the right. It's binding up against my stabilizer. According to some guys on KTMtalk, I need to buy longer cables and route the cable different from stock. They also said that WR426 or WR450 cables will work (5" longer).

Does anyone that is going to LL's have or know of someone going that has throttle cables I could borrow or buy for this weekend.

This is what I get for working on my bike right before a big ride!

No, but I've got a CR you can borrow/buy!

I have extra stock bars but no cables

I don't know if I remember how to ride a 2 stroke!

I'm going to yank a set of Pro Tapers of one of my CRs and take, just in case. Eddie is running the same setup as me (except for the big tank) and he has no problems. And I could take my GPR off, but that is a last resort. I think I'd rather ride with a sticking throttle than without my GPR!

Check that cable routing a few more times. It doesnt make sense to narrow your bars and then cable becomes too short.
Hey Kelvinkdx I my motorhome might be full but the trailer aint. bring your necessities and your welcome to whatever. what Im trying to say If you bring your stuff you wont go without a place to put it. You will be in the south everybodies nice but if their not frickm. There will probably be a grill going at night.
I dont know what time Ill get there fri. but i plan it being just whenever. depending on how tomorrow goes. Ive made it up there the day before and Ive made it up there at 2am a day late and got the last camping spot known to man. whoevers going with me let me know what your driving and if you dont see the motorhome thats lite bl and white with a red and green trailer there make another pas through camp and save me a good spot with hookups. I like to be safer than sorry.
(If ive got 12 people saving me spots i get to choose from 12 good spots dont I). Its almost time to start getting ready.

thanks for the offer RAHRAH - Sounds good - all of the people that i was going with have either backed out or are going to LBL (my Nashville friends). I've tried to explain to them that they can go ride LBL any time they want but they can only ride LL twice a year. I think that i will come up Friday after work and ride Saturday and then head over to LBL and visit with them on Sunday. I'll bring a sleeping bag and gear. :thumb:

Looks like it's about a 2 hour drive from LL's to LBL.

Posted by: RAHRAH

Your crazy!!! I wouldnt miss out on 1 day of LL for 3 days at LbL.. Lbl is great and all its just well worn and not fresh single track. Your distance is about right but after one day at LL you will have your nose way above Lbl. Either way Lbl is open the rest of the year. not LL . oh yeah youve got to donate to the munchie fund!!!

It's not too short. It's too long for the way it has to be routed. If I get longer cables, then I can route it differently and get it away from my GPR.

OK RAHRAH - let me correct myself - i will bring sleeping bag, gear and $$ for the munchie fund. Is there any food or stuff that i can bring? Let me know and i will pick it up. I do want to contribute and appreciate the shelter.

let me know aht to bring and also how to find you. Do you have a cell phone that works in the area??

Jim, don't pay any attention to John. Just show up and eat all of his food, and take his bed....please. I'd almost pay YOU to do it!

Eddie and I are bringing lasagne and Walt is bringing spaghetti for Friday night. I think everyone is planning on grilling Sat. night.

Posted by: MrLuckey

So there isn't any confusion - I am bringing lasagne and it is already spoken for by myself, MikeB, Paddy, Mark and Walt. There is a slight chance there will be leftovers but I wouldn't count on it. We are firing up the grill Sat night and it's BYOF (bring your own food).

Posted by: CAL

Sorry, I should have been more clear: If you want to join us for dinner...better bring some grub.

Posted by: Yamahauler

Hey Cal, you gonna eat a big plate of spagetti before you ride again this year?

Posted by: jcramin

DANG MrLucky you just reminded me I gota go shopping still.

don't worry Eddie - i wouldn't think of taking food out of your mouth (damn - that sounds disgusting). I typically take care of (feeding) myself and anyone else in need when possible.

:whiner: I'm out. I got the stomach virus that my kids have had all week. I've been in the bed the last 24 hours. Both of my kids are sick, and at the DR's office right now. My wife seems to be getting it too. We're a family of sick people.

I can't go. I don't have the strength to ride 21 miles if I wanted to.

Dammit! I hate this. Seems like something always goes wrong. I'll try to catch up with you guys later.

Tim :whiner:

Posted by: CAL

That stinks! Hope you get better. I had it a few weeks ago and lost 11 pounds in 2 days.

Posted by: KelvinKDX

Timr - sorry to hear you're ill - take care of yourself. I've got a buddy who just moved to Birmingham. He'll be looking for places to ride down your way.

He's GreenMan on DRN.

Posted by: Timr

I talked to RahRah (John) a little while ago, and he was just parking the RV in the campground. You guys have a good time.

Posted by: KelvinKDX

Timr - if you talk to rahrah again let him know that i am not able to make it out to LL for the April ride due to some last minute issues. :whiner: Hope everybody has a great time (i'm sure you will).

Posted by: CAL

Great Great ride!! Big thanks to MTDR for putting it together.

Did anyone hear the final count on riders?

Jim, I don't think you want to go down this road. I've fed you on several occasions in the past.

Eddie - i never meant to imply that you're anything but generous when it comes to serving others. I know that you've been the host to many a meal to myself and others. I went back and read my post to you and can now see how you might have taken it as negative towards you - and i would like to apologize. I really meant to just say that i'll fend for myself at LL's as you guys had already planned stuff. My stab at humor was a little off.

I read your PM to me too. You are a stand-up guy as are most of the people i know from DRN. If i gave you the impression that i think otherwise - i am sorry.

Wish i could have made this ride - LL's is one of my favorite rides of the year. Hopefully i'll make it to the October LL ride.

JimK

A good time was had by all. Good food good riding and great friends. It dont get any better than that. :thumb:

Guess who's boots ended up under Paddy's bed?

Next DRN stop LBL ... 25 days and counting.

Posted by: CAL

Sheeesh Eddie. I know you like to cook and all....but it's just food!

You just couldn't contain yourself, could ya Mike!?

Posted by: Mikeb

I didnt say anything bout you. Ever hear the expression .. Its always the stuck pig that hollers?
