What About Bob?

Most importantly, I agree with Bob on the Windham issue that Vuillemin did not shut off and actually hit KW and that James Stewart is cherry picking!

Anyone with eyes can see that Bubba should be in the 250 class, Bobs just got the balls to say it. Bob fan for life here.

Posted by: Okiewan

That would mean RC should retire after going undefeated.

Posted by: super rat

HAHAHAH!!! Yeah RC should retire. Are you Bubbas butt buddy or on his pay roll?

Posted by: Okiewan

You are way too predictable rat, lol.

If Bubba is superior and shouldn't stay in his class, should RC have to move up? The only "up" for him is retirement

I can't believe all you guys whinning about a 17 year old not even in his second full National season yet, all the while saying it's okay for Langston to drop back DOWN. Makes no sense to me, but oh well.... Your desire to see him mix it up with the 250's is clouding your logic.

How many season did RC race the outdoor 125's to get all those wins? I know it was at least two.. two FULL seasons + 1 more race. Bubba has been able to compete in ONE FULL SEASON. Had he not missed the first 5 rounds, he very well may have moved-up. Who knows?

Posted by: Senior KX Rider

I think RC had 3 125 championships. Call him a sandbagger too Bubba can ride whatever class he wants.....don't matter to me I just like to watch him ride

Posted by: mxchamp85

Bob was right about the Windham issue that Vuillemin did not shut off and actually hit KW. However, i beleive that kawasaki and bubba's decision to stay in the 125 class was a smart one. Although bubba has no competition, he is still very young, and if you look at the other racers who moved up after just one or two years you'll see that they suffered through a hard first season (ricky, travis, etc). Bubba's smart for giving it some time.

Posted by: super rat

Alright if Bubba is going to stay in the 125's, he should have to tow a bag of sand around behind his bike and have a basket on the handle bars for all of the cherries he will collect. LOL!!

Hey it's his career and I'm sure he could give a crap what I think but the kid is soooo much faster than anyone in the 125 class. I don't see why he wouldn't want to see where he stands with the top dogs. Langston, Brown,Ryno, those guys are not in Bubbas league, they are just in the kids way. Maybe I'm just a little bitter that we don't get to see him ride more and if he turns down the MXdN's aging I'll be booooing, Damn it!!! HAHAHA!!!

Posted by: BEEF706

I wish he would move up so I could see him race in the 250's, but it's his career, not mine. It's just sad to watch him race the other 125's, he is SO much faster. Since the AMA is trying to even out all the racing with fines and points docing, etc, maybe they should make him ride a KX100, I bet he'd still be on the podium, top step.

Let Bubba race 125 forever, though, if he wants. If people call him a cherry picker, call them a waaaaahmbulance (it's idling at the curb).

As for RC, yeah, he should retire.

Posted by: super rat

Look at it this way XRP, we are both agreeing with Hannah not with each other. Go check out Bob's interview with the boys over at DMXS. Great stuff I even agree with the guy on politics.

I'm not sure if this will get you there but hey I tried.

Bubba has to move up sometime as he will point out of the sx series soon-so it will happen, also i think he is wise to stay put this year-he saw what happened to RC and has learnt-he has so many years left as long as he doesnt hurt himself.Plenty of time.

rat--why fret? He's also soooo much faster than anyone in the 250 class.

Cracks me up when people say he's gonna have trouble breaking into the 250 class. If I remember correctly, a magazine was interviewing him at his house when the Kawasaki rig pulled up and unloaded a 250. He went out on his track and quadded his first lap, and was said to be flawless and much faster than on his 125.

DV, backward to normal, t-boned KW that's it! Carmichael didn't dominate the 125's like Stewart does!! "WAM" Emeril

RC: To elaborate I recall, and have the video, of KW and Reynard smoking RC's a$& and the time with Reynard, he came from way benind and left him!!!

JS: How can you say or feel like you've won if you don't have competition you might as well go buy yourself a trophy and stay at home, Well other than all the money your getting paid!

This guy didn't like Hannah much.

What's the big deal with so many people complaining about Bubba staying in the 125s? Sure the guy's super fast, but c'mon...he's still young! Let him keep going in the 125 class, he'll move up when he's ready...and he'll still win every race. He deserves to break the records he's shooting for, after all, he IS the fastest guy out there!

Posted by: nephron

Did Hannah spend 1, or was it 2 years, on a 125? That could be why he's so adamant. Then again, he's damn adamant about everything. But I also don't think (not sure) that he was really dominant on the 125. I think he had 1 championship, but I don't know about his record for that year.

By the way (totally off topic), go check his website out. I think it's www.bobhannah.com. He's got vintage WWII planes for sale (in stock!)--P51's, ME109's, etc., but not a word on motocross. Not a picture of him.

I'll tell ya that if I was ever to even think about buying a plane, I'd buy it from him---just to meet him. (and also to pressure him into telling me some stories).

I would like to see 125 riders allowed to race 250s, but not the other way around. Also, have 125, 250, and 450 classes and have 125 eligible riders able to ride all three classes.

It would be cool to see Steward win all three classes a la Stefan Everts.

Posted by: mdkuder

Is there an age limit for the 50 class? I know theres no money in it but I'll get a trophy and have no competition.

It would have been cool to see Carmichael go to europe and win all three championships this year, he has the fitness! No disrespect to Everts! ahhhhhhhh back to cherry picking! I think Stewart could have smoke all of them, in all three classes on his 125!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: kmccune

Bubba should do just what he is doing, he is already out of the 250 guys league. He is young and needs to mature so he can make the next 5-6 years of 250 racing REALLY boring

Seriously, I've never bought in to the 125 class being a beginner or support class, it is just a different displacement class.

Posted by: CaNaDiAn,Eh?

Personally, I'm not going to critisize him until I can ride at his level, seeing as that's never going to happen I just gonna respect what ever he decides to do...lol. Afterall he is only 17.

Posted by: DougRoost

Wasn't it just over a year ago that everyone was saying Bubba has the speed but not the maturity? He's got the rest of his career to ride the big bikes and the fact he's having fun and setting new records just makes it all the more fun to watch. The last thing I'd want to see him do is move up too early and get hurt or something.

Think of it another way. Would any of you with kids want your 17 year old to instantly turn 21? I'm with Bob -- I find it much more disturbing that guys who've been racing 250s for some time can go back to 125s.

Posted by: RMFanatic

I don't think RC should retire, and I don't think that Bubba should have to move up, but I would shure like to see him mix it up with RC, KW, and REED. Now I believe that would be some serious racing.............................

Posted by: Jasle

I attached a pic of Bubba in Cali on the Kaw 250

[QUOTE=super rat]Alright if Bubba is going to stay in the 125's, he should have to tow a bag of sand around behind his bike and have a basket on the handle bars for all of the cherries he will collect. LOL!!

He's already handicapped by riding a 2-stroke 125 in a 250F dominated class. How Bubba is dominating on a bike that Andrew Short describes as a huge disadvantage is hard to comprehend.

Posted by: YZ165

RC, Bubba, LaRocco,Travis, Reed, KW, The Garter Snake..........
All in the same class! I can't wait till next year!

That's why the open class should still be around.

Posted by: Strick

There is no viable answer to the question based on your poll options. RC & Reed will take little Bubba to school in the 250 classs.
