For all you force wearers out there. Has the lack of lateral movement in the ankle caused or increased any chance of knee injury?
I've got a bad ankle and good knees. I want to protect the bad ankle, but not ruin the knee doing it!
Thanks

I wear CTi's anyways, but can't see the boot being a big problem either way. Suggest you look into braces, if worried about your knees. I'm pretty happy with my Sidis so far, although haven't got alot of time on them yet.

Wear mine with Asterisks, can't really imagine a scenario that would increase knee damage by not allowing the ankle to be damaged, but maybe I'm not thinking hard enough. I have had a couple of hard hits on mine, and the only casualty has been the top buckle of my right boot (which they replaced) I will say that my lower body feels armour plated with the Sidis and the braces. :thumb:

thanks beef & jtt, i'm going to order them soon. I was thinking if there's no lateral flex in the ankle, the movement would go up to the knee. I wear asterisks too so I hope I'm alright.

Psalm31.24, I think you wiil br pleased with them. I think I understand your point on the ankle knee thing now, I will say I have some bruising at the top of my knee brace that I never had before, (jumping in a strong crosswind is not bright) although it may be because I haven't hit the ground near as hard as I have this year.

PSALMS, Yes, The overly stiff ankle causes my knees to twist. My boots are a couple of months old an every time I wear them I twist my knees, because the ankle doesn't flex like my gearnes or tech 6's. I've never had problems with my knees and don't wear knee braces. I've switched back and forth many times between my flex force boots and my tech 6's, just to make sure it wasn't an isolated incident. It's not. The flex force boots will damage MY knees If I continue to use(race) with them. Besides the knee twisting. These are the most expensive boots I've ever owned. I have atleast $40 in buckles and screws. The boots are good looking and comfortable. I really wanted to like, but they just don't work right for me. Maybe the leather based vortexs would be better for me?
