Was at my local dirt track (short circuit we call it here) and there were two green stripe CR's racing in the retro class....very nice....and I used to own an old 125 same year. But On Any Sunday I notice you got 82 XL500, there was a guy at the same meet on an 83 XL500....after the retro class where he kicked butt, he lined up against CRF450's YZF 450's (about a dozen or so) in the Open 4stroke class....man full lock out slides out of the bottom corner, lift the front , a quick wave to his mates next to me...and he finishes third.....bloody fast.....what a laugh against all those latest thumpers. Go figure???

I don't care much for updating graphics and stuff, but I'd like to have that retro look on the CR5.....Even a CR480 sticker would kick arse.....maybe put some fake fins in the head....

That is cool. Believe it or don't, but I've been trying to figure the best way to make my WR250F look like a Falta Replica. I figure there are three main styling cues: red frame, lumpy gold hubs, and coffin tank (held on with leather belt). I don't think I'll ever get it done though. I'm not sure how to go about designing tank graphics that look like an alloy coffin tank.

Still, I wonder. . .

Hey!
Ya already got the engine out of it , right?

Its amazing what can be done with a cheap welder and some red spray bombs.........

I shouldnt joke, ive been thinkin about doing the 650r over in "gunmetel gray metallic" -w- red stripes aka the original XR.
