WER damper stem wear

I noticed that the center stem on my WER has worn quite noticeably, to the extent that I have maybe 5 degrees or so of free deflection. It seems to be from radial wear in the cross-drilled hole that fastens the control arm to the stem.
I'm going to give WER a call & see what their cost is for a replacement stem, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem?
Note that I'm not dinging the product. In this part of the country every trail looks like a quarry, and it has served me well. But I am surprised how much it has worn.
