Race Ready Filters

Just found an add in RacerX for pre-oiled filters for $9.95. They say this cheap throw it out and buy a new one. JUst wondering if they are commparable to TwinAir or others.

I don't want to go cheap and have engine problems, but if they are indeed good, it does sound attractive from a price standpoint.

Any of you have experience with this product?

It does sound like a good idea. Especially considering that a filter is about $25 and it takes a few dollars of product (oil and cleaner) to service it. It seems as though the ready filter is about 1/3 the cost of a serviceable filter. Now, I can get more than 3 cleanings out of a filter, but there are times when it would be nice to just rip open a bag (or box) and have a clean filter ready to go.

I bet you could even clean that filter a time or two.

The other thing I notice. Small, but I like it. It comes in a box. I know,. sounds stupid. But the filters I have know are in those bags. Tough to stack or hang in the garage or trailer, falling all over the place.

I think I'll get a couple to use in emergencies. Like when I don't want to change and clean a filter in the field. You could use these on multiple day rides.

When someone actually tries them, let usk know how it works!
