Is anyone riding around Memphis this weekend????? Holly Springs, Sugarcreek, LBL, etc...... Let me know, I am trying to find someone to ride with.

Posted by: jcramin

I may be able to ride this weekend. Depends... I have a load of vinal siding sitting in my drive way if they get enough installed by this weekend and I can get my trailer out ill be riding this weekend.

where are you going?

Posted by: jcramin

If I can go I will be going to Sugar Creek Sunday early in the morning before anyone shows up.

I'm looking for someone to ride with Sunday also. LBL sounds good to me. Where is sugar creek?

Posted by: jcramin

sugar creek is in Millington.

Posted by: ericf7

cramin, have you ever been to holly springs?

Posted by: bcVulcan

I rode at Holly Springs once and wasn't all that impressed. Of course, I may not have ridden in the right place. I would like to go with someone who knows the place a little better. I saw practically no hills. If nothing else works out, I plan on riding at "The Trace" state park in Pontotoc. It's pretty good when it's not to wet.
Jay,
What's Sugar Creek like?

Posted by: jcramin

Holly Springs is awsome when you have someone leading the ride that knows the trails. Well Holly Springs has what people call The Hill from He** LOL

Sugar Creek is kinda lame but its close and has a motorcross track and some pretty awsome riders once in while.

Posted by: ericf7

I am going to go to Holly Springs Saturday, it is suppose to thunderstorm Sunday. Trace is fun but has gotten too many roots

Posted by: jcramin

Holy Springs this weekend Sunday 9:00 AM parking at 661A

where was the motocross track? all i could find was some wet clay and gravel.

also do we need permission or can we just ride there?

Posted by: jcramin

If you go from the parking area at Sugar Creek and go into the creek and turn right fallow the creek and look for a sign to your left that says MOTOCROSS TRACK its pretty far down. If you go all the way down the creek till you see it open up and you see the house and the road you went to far the way to the track is just before it opens up and you see the house.

You are supposed to pay 10 bucks to ride and sign a waver. Usually someone is setting in the parking lot for this.

If someone would call and wake me up sunday morning, I would probably meet you guys down there if its not too hot.

Posted by: jcramin

is this THE fast Jack Bailey ???????????

Posted by: FAST JACK

Plan on meeting at 8am Sunday morning at Flick's amoco, take exit 42 or 43 off of hwy 78, turn right, about 1/8 mile to 4 way stop at old hwy 78, flick's is across the street, resturaunt is around back. Depends on how many people show up as to which location we will park and ride from, probably will not stay all day due to the heat, probably about 1 to 2 pm. This trailride is loosely sponsored/organized by the memphis motorcycle but anyone is welcome, no charge unless you want to tip the trail captian, children with riding experience welcome, not a great place for total beginners.

Posted by: RAHRAH

Yeaaah doggy. Slow spodes to the rear please!!!! It might be hot but lets make it a good one.
Im ready. That means Ive got to be on the road by 630. that sucks. strokin'steve said hes ready to slap it around some tooo.

Posted by: ddzmcc

How about a little clearer on the meeting point. East or West of 78 to Flicks?

Posted by: RAHRAH

I know its the Potts Camp exit. Probably about 10 miles outside of Holly Springs to the east. If you get off the 4lane at teh right spot (Potts Camp). Youll see a stop sign just after your trailer straightens up. Then you take a right from the stop and Flicks is there to your left. Thats were Im having breakfast.

Posted by: ddzmcc

Appreciate it Rah. I hope to meet you tommorrow.

Posted by: newtodir

I'm in NW TN and am just getting into trail riding with my son and looking for some super easy trail rides....would you reccommend Holly Springs or Sugar Creek? Where are they located? Do they allow 4-wheelers?

Posted by: paddy

John this is the place to post the cam footage Jack took............

Newtodir.........check out the MMC web page it has good info there and you can go to one of the meetings to meet local folks.

Did the tape get posted somewhere? I want to see the whole thing!!!

Posted by: jcramin

Isnt it time for another LBL ride ?????????

Posted by: MrLuckey

Of course it is Jay. How about Aug 28th, Sept. 11th or Sept. 18th?

I could most likely make it down there any of those weekends.

How about it Paddy, John, Jack, Jay, Mike, Timr, Mark, Corey and the rest of the gang?

Posted by: jcramin

Now that I look at my calender. IM busy all those weekends BUT Id rather do LBL so I can cancel what I was doing on Sept 18th BUT (AGAIN) Sept 18th and 19th is a Hare Scramble weekend so many of the MMC guys may be busy. Sept 11th Weekend is a big Bull Shouls Street Bike weekend so many of the MMC guys who ride street also may be busy.

Also for many Sept and Oct weekends Loretta Lynn Ranch work weekends are set.

Posted by: RAHRAH

Im ready for a good one. Aug 29 and Sept 12 are the dates fro a few enduros that Ive got to chase. One of those will probably be cancelled. Im ready whenever though. Ill let you know which is cancelled soon. Whatever the case lets ride!!! Rain or shine.

Posted by: paddy

I Like the weekend of the 29th but I think MikeB will not be available, I call him today (14th) and see what all he has to say. With work being so bad I perfer to spend Fri night and ride Sat. I will most likely have to be back Suday so I will leave late Sat night. I know Corey will like this as he has family time on Sunday. I will do some phone calls and look at dates for work and keep everyone updated.

YES IT IS TIME WE ALL DID A LBL RIDE!!!!!!!!!!

PG

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Oh sure, disquise a LBL ride as a memphis ride so the yankees dont show. I can feel the love.

Posted by: paddy

Walt........I fill the yankee billet on this crew. If there's room for one more I will let you know. Of course I could always relinquish my Yankee status and fill the "guy everyone makes fun of" but then I think we would have to rename Strok'in Steve to something different. In any case you are welcome to come, and those rug rats you got as well!!!!

Jay.....I doubt I will have time to do the work weekends at LL but call me after work this week and we will put some dates down and see. I am on call this week so I will have my schedule handy. Besides have you EVER seen me enter a MMC Hare Scramble race?

I saw this after I posted my last message, found it kinda strange. Does anyone else think it is funny?

Posted by: jcramin

I dont think I want to slap it around with any of you guys....

Posted by: Mikeb

I am in for ANY weekend in Sept but August is out for me. Gotta move the oldest kid off to college .. 2 weeknds in a row .. Dont ask.

Come on now Jay .. We have heard stories aoround the campfire, Sounds like you would slap it around with ANYONE.

Posted by: jcramin

Hey that was the old me when I was a easy and cheap 2-stroke rider. Now that I ride a thumper I have a moral or 2 so I dont just slap it around with anyone anymore im PICKY now.

Posted by: RAHRAH

If Steve were picky he wouldnt be sticky!

J a 250 would be a thumpit not a thumper. Instead of slappin' it now you can thumpit.

Im just wondering when to plan on riding.

Posted by: WaltCMoto

Any weekend exept Sept 12 works for me. I say the earlier the better, so theres recoup time till DW.

Yeah....what's up with the LBL ride slipping in here?

The only weekends in Sept. I'm available is the 4th and the 11th. I think I'm available Aug. 28th.

The "official" LBL Fall ride is usually in November. Everyone still up for that?

Posted by: jcramin

This is an un-official Memphis LBL ride just to warm up for the big rides coming up.

The OFFICIAL LBL ride in Nov sounds fine still too. Ill Ride almost anytime.
