BULTACO1X.

Sounds like we may know each other. I was Dist 37 #4 in the heavyweight class in 1970. Was the point leader at the halfway point of the 1969 season until I turned Pro and didn't ride the last half of the season. Finshed with #4. Still kickin myself in the arse for that one.

We had a little get together at Perris a couple months ago, Mike Posey, Terry Dorsch, Clutch Cargo (Brian Farnsworth)and a bunch of old scrambles guys showed up and we went round and round on Freddy Edwards new little flattrack and had a blast.

Are you saying you are Larry Taylor? If so, I remember you and know quite a few of the Jackrabbits and Gophers. If you were a Gopher, you probably rode Prado Park too. My favorite track. Also, I have a lot of old photos from Perris, Elsinore, Prado, Adelanto, Bay Mare, South Bay, etc, etc. What numbers did you run in the heavyweight class? I may have your picture.

Many of us old guys are coming out of the woodwork and going back to flattrack. We have two new tracks, one at Perris and one at Elsinore. I'm in the process of lacing up a set of 19" wheels for my CRF450. I almost forgot how much fun that was.

Are you still riding? If so, come on out and join us.

Larry.

You have to subscribe to the site inorder to make the features work.

Yes I am on Hos's flattrack forum. Saw you over there posting some of your old photos. Very cool.

Looked through my old photos of Perris, Elsinore and Ascot. Didn't see any of you. Were you # 184R during our Pro Novice year? I was #194R. What numbers did you run in the sportsman classes prior to #1X? Mine were, #868,# 686, #64, #6 and #4 ranging from 1963 to 1970 in the heavy weight class.

Went out last sunday and checked out Mike Boohr's track at Elsinore. Very cool little track. Bigger and flatter than Perris and more of a hardpack type of surface. Looks like there may even be some room for a little infield TT track.

Freddy has installed lights at Perris and he will hold the first night race this saturday night. That's gotta bring back some old memories. Common out and say hi to everyone. Not sure if I will be there or not, may have to take a trip to No Cal this weekend.

Hope to see ya at the track again.
