We’ve got a few words around here that have attained protected status. Mister and Dillweed come to mind right off the bat. But are they copyrighted, or trademarks? :confused:
Does the intent to steal material have to be proven before measures can be taken to stop the offending party?

As a side note- I’m seeking protected status for “Diggin’” or the phrase “Not diggin’” I used it in a Cannondale™ thread and now I see it popping up occasionally; yet no royalties or recognition comes my way. :silly: :)

Mister™ is trademarked. If used in a sentence, said sentence is also copyright the author, assuming prior written approval from billywho™ . Failure to respect these marks will get ya on billywho's "list" which is used at DirtWeek. You don't want to be on that list :scream:

I definately think "diggin" is mine. I dont' really think I'll be able to use the phrase "not diggin" anymore.... no one seems to buy it.
