Nice forum here !

I have had my PE 250 since 1978. Basically stopped really riding it 20 years ago, has been parked in my dry garage.
Traditionally what I have done, is every spring when I put my TORO 2 stroke snow thrower away, I'de pour the fuel mix into the PE, and see if it would start ! It has every year except this year ! I did take the fuel out of the tank.
I'de tried kicking it over. I pulled the plug and I do get spark, but IS it enough. It does have a fresh fuel mix. I just bought a new plug ! I have been able to start it on the original ND plug before ! I do get fuel into cylinder , I can see the moisture on the exhaust !

Is there a way to check to see if the spark is strong enough ? If the CDI unit works ?
Any help would be great !!!! PE Ted

Before you try anything else, try cleaning the carby. The pilot jet in particular clogs up very quickly without being ridden and is sensitive to old fuel.
