have any of you guys ran a 98-01 kx250 piston in a 02 kx 250 the part # are diffrent .... i got a couple of new 98-01's laying around and i dont want to go out and buy another if i dont have to
The manufacturers change part numbers on model years even if the dimensions don't. The reason is related to taxes on inventory. Wiseco lumps them all together by part number so theres no reason to think that they aren't interchangable.
i suppose it would be very wise to measure and compare them just to be sure. Does kawasaki do all the different A, B, C sizes like yamaha and honda, maybe that should be considerd also?
the thing is i havent see a 02-03 piston yet to know what the diff is between that one and a 97-01 ..... i know the size hasnt changed but i think port window has change some how .... ... my shop hasnt got one to compare they orderd some for stock today since i let them know theres a diffrance
