Does anybody know how to remove a power valve from a 2003 kx 125? I have the powervalve opened up..but i cant seem to remove the metal rod that the spring is attached to??
I had one but i cant remember how to do this ,but it wasnt obvious how it was held in,if you goto the site www.kawaski.com it has parts diagrams of most engines.
yo... if ur not good with engins i recomend u get sumone else to do it... but if ur up for the chalange the u have to drain it of all its liquids then split top end away.. next take the clutch cover off.. remove clutch assembly. then remove the next casing after the clutch.. there are 3 to 5 cogs in there but all have an obvious place. u will see the rod in there conected to either a poliurithane cog or steel one. both have a compresion spring on it.just pull the rod away from the cog. 2 3mm alen bolts hold the pin to the rod so if ur replacin that makesure to keep that.. its fairly easy when u see it. but as marcus said...... get the diagrams printed off from . kawasaki . before u take the chalange...
have fun!!
