Just traded my banshee for a 2004 CR250. It has VF3 Reeds, FMF Gnarly's with Shorty Silencer.

Dude I bought it from know's nothing about anything 2-stroke. He always took it to a shop by his house.

Bike is pretty clean just want to check over some things before hitting the dunes.

So...

Question #1: With the mod's listed above what jetting would be recommended.

Question #2: Anything else I should be looking at on this model year CR?

i had an 02' cr250 with almost those exact same mods, my jetting was for at seal level....
390 main,27.5 pilot,6b30y-77 needle 2nd clip.
this made it run nice and crisp. jetting will always be different bike to bike and rider to rider tho....

I just picked up an 04 CR250R myself. Mine is stock except for Boyesen reeds. Jetting was stock, and waaay too rich. Smoked a bit, spewed black junk, etc. Here's where I have ended up:

400 Main (was a 420)
27.5 Pilot (was a 32.5)
6CHY12-84 Needle top clip position (was a 6CHY12-82 in second position down)
Plug: BR8EV (I think.., its the one with the thin electrode) Had a BR8EG (I think...)

(This worked well last time I rode. Temps were in the 40s at an elevation of ~450'.)
